I had to get hints but I'm now 80% confident I got the last two. :)

I love these types of challenges so I'm so grateful that you guys take the time to do them. :D

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments Glad you like it. We thought it would be something nice to do for our one year anniversary.

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments Glad you enjoy them, Bookbuyer! I actually really like putting them together. :)

message 57: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments I have to give most of the credit to Cortney as she had practically all of the ideas. I honestly don't know where or what I would do without her.

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments Thanks, Jackie! But you do a ton for the group and planning. Plus you help keep me on track. I'm already trying to come up with challenges for the rest of the year...need to just slow down a bit.

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments Hi guys,

Haha me too. I was thinking of restarting the quarterly challenges in July with another Super Summer Series, but we'll see. Also, I have some challenge ideas I'll message you with later.:)

message 62: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments Awesome! I think trying out another quarterly challenge might be good.

message 63: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments Yeah, last time we had those, people really seemed to like them.

message 64: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments A little late on this, but I've created a widget where you can keep track of the books you read for this challenge. Here it is.:)

message 65: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments I think February is the last time we used one...I've been meaning to set them up.

message 66: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments Same here, but then I think about it and the month's half gone.:)

Jamie (The Kansan Reader) (thekansanreader) Okay I have a question. I did start a book in the middle of May and put it down to read another book. I just picked it up again yesterday and had to start it all over again. Can this count since I started it over?

Just wondering.

message 68: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments Yes. If you started over then it will count. If you didn't change the read dates, make note on the review thread when you post that you restarted and had it approved.

Jamie (The Kansan Reader) (thekansanreader) Courtney wrote: "Yes. If you started over then it will count. If you didn't change the read dates, make note on the review thread when you post that you restarted and had it approved."

Okay will do. Thanks.

Jamie (The Kansan Reader) (thekansanreader) Another question:
Will this cover work with A Beautiful mind cover Math symbols/numbers?
The Avery Shaw Experiment (Science Squad, #1) by Kelly Oram
It has some numbers on it. I understand if it does not fall under the criteria. K

message 71: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments Yes, you can count that. It's more chemistry than math, but it has numbers which also count.

message 72: by Dawnie (new)

Dawnie So far I am completely of track with this challenge! I read four book non of them anywhere near to fitting into even one challenge, if I continue like this this month's challenge will be great!

How is everyone else doing? Am I the only one not even having started a book fit for this challenge?

message 73: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments You can put them in the page count challenge

message 74: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9905 comments I finished my first book! :D

message 75: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments Yay! Good job, Bookbuyer.

Dawnie, I'm sure you'll get some read that fit.

Dawnie Jackie wrote: "You can put them in the page count challenge"

I know :)
It's one of the things I love about this group and its challenges. That you can always at least feel a bit productive with one of the challenges.

message 79: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments If you're participating in the Trivia Challenge (or want to start) head over to the Daily Post thread (in this folder) and see the hints for days 3 and 4! Be sure to get guesses to me before the deadline.

message 80: by Dawnie (new)

Dawnie I have another question :)

I just finished reading The Night We Said Yes and it had a lot of karaoke singing, three of the five friends were together in a band, there was lots of talk about visiting and seeing and getting to know other bands, the main girl was in a relationship with a lead singer of another band...

Now the question I have is which Level from "that thing you do" would that book qualify for? Level 2?

Thanks :)

message 81: by C.P. (new)

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments Dawnie, it sounds like you could use it for either level two or three.

message 82: by Dawnie (new)

Dawnie Courtney wrote: "Dawnie, it sounds like you could use it for either level two or three."

Okay, thanks Courtney :)
Then I just have to decide that now.... I think that shouldn't be as hard as it is!

message 83: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments You can also change your mind later in the challenge if you find a better book for another category. Just let us know that you want to change things around. By the way, how was that book?

message 84: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments Finished my 1st book yesterday and starting my second right now.

Dawnie Jackie wrote: "You can also change your mind later in the challenge if you find a better book for another category. Just let us know that you want to change things around. By the way, how was that book?"

Okay then I will do that and if I decide to do something else k let you guys know:)

The book was good, I just found it a bit sad that I either completely missed them all or the crazy things that all the friends said yes to through the entire nit just didn't happen? But the book was good if you ignore that the summary and title don't fit.
It is a wonderful book with real friends and good messages and just overall a good story, and lots of musical aspects. I would recommend it for those, just not for an adventure "dare you to be crazy" book lover. :)

message 86: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4614 comments Glad you liked it.

message 87: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9905 comments I'm currently reading 3 books.

Still reading Poison Study (Study, #1) by Maria V. Snyder Although I've kind of back burnered it.

Just started Daughters of Rome (The Empress of Rome, #2) by Kate Quinn today. About 10 pages in.

And started Wildest Dreams (Fantasyland, #1) by Kristen Ashley last night. About 5 pages in. :)

I think the re-reads are just too close together. I might give it up.

C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 8238 comments Ah, I see. Sometimes that happens.

I'm a bit disappointed though. I was really excited to re-read them after Night Study but now I'm focused on this series Daughters of Rome (The Empress of Rome, #2) by Kate Quinn that is NOT a BR. :(

I seem to have a love/hate relationship with BRs. :/

YAY!

message 98: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9905 comments I'm also getting some books this month. I got one on the first Mistress of Rome (The Empress of Rome, #1) by Kate Quinn and I got another today The Sleeping Prince (The Sin Eater’s Daughter, #2) by Melinda Salisbury that I just have to pick up. I have one more that probably won't come till the end of the month Break Me Like a Promise (Once Upon a Crime Family, #2) by Tiffany Schmidt but so far all my other books have arrived a few days earlier than planned so I'm hopeful. I'm also hoping to get a couple more books this month as well. Empress of the Seven Hills (The Empress of Rome, #3) by Kate Quinn Lady of the Eternal City (The Empress of Rome, #4) by Kate Quinn The Serpent and the Pearl (The Borgias, #1) by Kate Quinn The Lion and the Rose (The Borgias, #2) by Kate Quinn Gifted Thief (Highland Magic, #1) by Helen Harper

Me too. Right now I'm trying to figure out the pricing and the best place to order for those last five. I'm also seeing if I can find them anywhere really cheap or free. :)
