The heroine is a nanny that "kidnapped" a baby (George) before his guardians could kill him and inherit his title and land. She marries a man named "Noah" who ironically because very sea sick. Noah finds out about the deception and is mean to her on the voyage back to colonial Virginia. Noah and heroine travel to Philadelphia for the Constitutional Convention.
