I read this book years ago and can't remember the book title or the author name, but I can remember the story itself in great detail. The book is about a woman (I think her name is Sophie) who works as a phone psychic and is on the run from someone I think is her husband, but I'm not really sure. All I know is that they have a history and he wants to kill her. Well, somehow, she meets a man (I think his name is Adam or Alex) who works as a doctor. Years before, he was married to a woman (named Julie?) and they had a daughter who he called Chick. Well, his wife decided to leave him for another man (she was flighty like that) and, attempting to stop her mother from leaving, Chick sneaks into the back of their getaway car and they are all killed in a crash. Chick had a rock, small and round, that she cherished, and since her death, her father has always kept it in his wallet. At the end of the story, he has a dream that he's talking to her and she asks if she can have her rock back. He gives it to her and when he wakes up, the rock is gone.
