What is the end message of this book? (view spoiler)[ I think her end message is that although you lose someone you still need to talk about them and discuss what happens. You don't want to just keep it inside. By Violet telling her parents at the end she wanted to remember it made her feel better and also her parents. What is the author’s purpose? (view spoiler)[ I think her purpose in this book was to make people aware of suicide and how it effects the people around those that commits suicide and how there are so many out there that are having these thoughts that we don't realize and we need to be more aware and more willing to step forward and help no matter who we will upset. What foreshadowing does Niven provide? (view spoiler)[ She is has Finch mention water how he can hold his breath. His room is blue like the water. The water that he keeps in the mason jar everything just seems to center around water for him. He mentions how at piece he feels in water and just floating away to another world. How do Violet’s family members show their grief in different ways? (view spoiler)[ The seem very good with her about showing there grief. They are a little watchful over her but seem to want her to get out with her friends again. I am not sure how I notice it with her parents. Violet tends to keep her sisters stuff with her like her glasses and doesn't want to drive or do things that her and her sister did together. Do you agree with the ending? Would you change it? (view spoiler)[ Did I want Finch to die? Absolutely not, I am a firm believe in happily ever afters. but this story was such a good story. I understand why the author had to tell it to get across to us the readers the seriousness of this issue. I would have liked to change it where her parents were able to help him maybe save him when he attempted it. I just hate to cry. Why do you think Niven ended the book in the way she did? (view spoiler)[ She ended so there was closure for Finch and Violet by him finishing the Wandering and Violet following it and Finch leaving messages it helped her. She new he loved her and she was the only thing that actually did help him through those finally days. (hide spoiler)](hide spoiler)](hide spoiler)](hide spoiler)](hide spoiler)](hide spoiler)]
