Book 5 of the wonderful Harry Potter series is next in our series reads. I hope everyone is enjoying our series read. After this one is over we will debate upon bringing back the series read. Tell us your thoughts over these books.

Do you still love it?
What did you miss the first time?
Do you notice differences from the book to movie adaptation?

Tell us everything!

I'm going to reread this book. I hate this book the most though because of Umbridge.

She is horrid. I really dislike the woman.

I do too. So this book is always so hard for me to read.

Valé (eggy18) | 59 comments I dislike this book the most too but not for the same reason. I don't like Cho & Harry; my heart felt for Snape; Sirirus dies. urgh

I love watching the movie though and seeing the jealous face Ginny gives when she see Harry and Cho together.

I don't like Cho and Harry either. I cried for Snape and Sirius though. That's why I muscle though this book despite my loathing of Umbridge.

Yes. I get creeper out by all the cats in her office.

I'm not saying anything on that... I'm a crazy cat lady myself. Lol.

I love cats but the cat plates disturbed me a little.

Valé (eggy18) | 59 comments In a way, I'm glad it was Sirius whom Rowling decided to kill off instead of other good guys. 1) we didn't know him as well as the others, but he was important enough to make an impact 2) he wasn't long for the current generation: he was mistaking Harry for his dad and I think it was a relief that he joined his best friend … in my honest opinion

I can totally get behind that logic. Although it would have been nice to see Umbridge go.

I cried and cried during this book, I was so heartbroken that Sirus died.

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
I know I was heartbroken that he died as well. It was like two books ago he got some family and now he has no family once again.

Exactly Andrea it just shredded my heart

I also disliked Umbridge. She is my least favorite character of the series.
