I am happy to announce that combines and merges for editions with 1000 or more shelvings has been re-enabled. We did notice during testing that occasionally when combining really large works (10,000+ shelvings) an error message was generated. We think we have that issue licked, but please let us know if you see any error messages. In this thread is fine, with as much detail as possible (what work, what edition(s), precise wording of error message).

Have fun!

Kevin (kevinjkennedy) | 175 comments I have combined books but the covers were never published. They were works in progress on Smashwords. I wasn't aware at the time they would pull through to here. Can I either have the cover changed on those versions or have them deleted? I've only started using Goodreads as an author so I apologize if I have put this post in the wrong place.

Since this is an announcement thread, your question is better asked in the Book Issues folder, or perhaps to Support: https://www.goodreads.com/about/conta...

Mark Williamson | 2 comments The different books listed under the title William Wilberforce: Achieving the Impossible are all the same work, and the same edition. Can they be combined, and show myself as the author?

Repeating what I wrote in the comment above yours:

Since this is an announcement thread, your question is better asked in the Book Issues folder.

Closing announcement thread, since it appears to have served its purpose. As lethe said, please start a new thread for requests regarding specific books.
