Fun challenge. — Friction by Sawyer Bennett has been in my Audible app since December, will try to listening to it now in April.
Last night I got
and started listening right away. It's so hilarious!!! And Sebastian York is really good...I don't know if I've listened to him before.
was excellent fun, thanks for the listing. I've listened to the Tangled series, Legal Briefs (book 2 he voices), Life on Stage and Reasonable Doubt. I may relisten, but I think I'll spring for something, any suggestions?Sebastian York does irreverent cad better than anyone I've ever heard,
, as was
series are excellent example of this.
I'm going to go with Night After Night
contains BSDM, I often pass on these titles because the authors put little into the story. But I'll give it a shot, it was already in my library. But I did purchase the next Life on Stage audio,
Beat because the first was fine, but not in my opinion the best. But Sebastian York made it worth my time. I was definitely curious while reading Throb about the character focused on in Beat at that time.
Finished
Big Rock. I loved it (tho not as much as Tangled.) Sebastian York was the perfect narrator for this!

Sebastian York is a great narrator. I'm hoping to get a re-listen of
Beautiful Player in this month followed by it's sequel novella
Beautiful Boss

Big RockLoved Sebastian York. Wish his female voices were a little better, but I'm definitely going to listen to more of his work.
I actually just listened to
Easy Love and Sebastian York was the male narrator in this one.I have to say I wasn't impressed by his range. The female narrator did a much better job with accents. Sebastian York didn't even attempt to do a Southern accent. It really took me out of the story when they kept mentioning how much the drawl was part of the male characters charm.
I really liked the story though.
Just finished
Listen to Me. It was good. Sebastian York did the male voices, and I thought he did a great job for this type of story. He even did some accents for secondary characters. But, I will say, he sounded the same in this story as he did in Easy Love. It's not a bad thing, but I don't hear any distinctive voices for his characters like with some narrators I've listened to before.
Sebastian has a voice that is particularly good for romance, MHO. He is very good at playing the hauteness of Alpha Million/billionaires But I just finished the three books he narrated in the series: Ten Tiny Breaths; where he played the strip club owner. Loved the books and well as his narration. I admit I buy books because he is the narrator.
I've listened A LOT of book narrated by him this year, and he seems to be a one trick pony. I love his voice but all of his characters sound the same. I'm starting to appreciate narrators that are able to show more of a range.

I agree with that.
I agree with that.
I've listened to many books narrated by York, and he does do a great male lead. But his other characters all sound the same to me, even kids. They (the other characters) tend to be quite nasal and often very sarcastic sounding in the delivery. IMO he needs voice acting lessons, especially regarding female voices and accents. He's hard to avoid because he's everywhere, but there are many male narrators out there who are more talented. However, he'd be great at announcing for commercials, reading voice-over narration for documentaries, that sort of thing. Even sports announcing if he's into that.

My all-time favorite is Napoleon Ryan. His voice is so awesome and his women actually sound like women.

My all time favorite is Zachary Webber/Jacob Morgan. He's very versatile, and I think he's especially good at humor. He does good kid voices, too.

or if you want a murder/mystery you could try
. I've listened that series and loved it.

Born in Tunbridge Wells, U.K., Sebastian York spent much of his youth as a military brat throughout Europe, Asia, and the U.S., which spurred a very adventurous sense for travel and faraway places. He has a pilot's license and operates small flying tours over New York City in between his narration work.
How he got started
I have a friend who engineers (does the recording for) a broad range of audio books. He told me I had a good voice for it, and I told him that it was something that I’d wanted to do for a long time. We made a demo reel at his apartment when he had some downtime, or was between jobs, over the course of a few months. He’d suggest things to read (“Next week let’s try a biography — pick one.”), and we’d spend about an hour recording another segment for the reel. After we had a sufficient amount of material, he began to pass it along to colleagues and producers.
