Taka Sande What are the best websites that review Christian books from self-publishers for free?

David Ramos (offset) | 6 comments Sorry, but its not that easy. Most new authors go and ask certain bloggers in their niche, or other authors to get started. Then, as you build your email list and connection, getting reviews will be easier.

I agree David. New authors have to put extra effort.

Chris | 12 comments My site, http://christianindiebookreviews.blog..., is a place where i do reviews for self-pub and small-press pub only.
My terms are on the About tab on that site. Right now I'm 'booked' but i can put books in the queue.

Here is a good list of reviewers for indie books:

There are a ton of them. But they stipulate what they will and will not accept. Expect that a lot of them are NOT Christian, and some will not review Christian books.

For me, I prefer SciFi, Fantasy, Paranormal, Mystery, and will review most anything else even non-fiction (except Erotica).

Jeff Andras | 3 comments Good afternoon everyone. My name is Jeff Andras and I am just putting the finishing touches on my first book. Based on the group name I thought it/I would fit in. I do a blog that I try to update once a week. My heart is filled with a desire to lead God's people back into the unity for which we were called to be. The book is shown as available but the cover image has a Type-O that will be corrected within the next few days. As soon as that is done and the website is up and running I will be doing various promotional discounts. Thanks for letting me join, and please check out my author page where you can find links to the blog, my website, and information about me and the book. God bless.

I've not had any luck with the Indie Review. I think they maybe have one person who is not "allergic" to Christian literature. I submitted some of my stuff and they said they'd get back to me. That was a few years ago.

Just so you know, I tried to ask friends to read some of the Peretti books a few years ago and got just as much of an aversion. It's funny that some folks aren't afraid to read absolute garbage, but they shy away from anything that might possibly disagree with their religious (or anti-religious) outlook.

It would be nice if Catholics would be more open to reviewing Protestant literature, Baptists more open to Mennonite, and Charismatics more open to reading...well, maybe they should stop reading that Deepak Chopra stuff. I suppose, to be fair, we could get a few Buddhists and Muslims to give an honest opinion. What would that take, though?

Jeff Andras | 3 comments LOL Robert. What you say is exactly what my heart is so heavy with. Ten years after Jesus went to the cross the "Christian" movement was nothing like it is today. My Jewish ancestors rebelled against Jesus and like a disgruntled mother kicked her Christ believing child out of the house and into the world. Once in Rome this young child cut her teeth on doing the best she could in a very hostile world. 400 years later Rome threw her into a blender and called this new religion "their official religion". 1,000 years later we have the protestant reformation that only correct a fraction of the issues. Today we have tens of thousands of denominations, Catholicism, and multiple denominations of Judaism. Is it reasonable to say that we have all been influenced by pride and flesh and that we all have some things to die to as Jesus leads us back into the unity for which we were created?
