So I decided to read this for my science fiction book. I just started it and it seems like a really easy read. I love the movie though!

Oh, I read the first book years ago. It's a trilogy in five parts btw. These days it's mostly a big omnibus edition. Which one do you have? But yeah, it's an easy read and it's a lot of laughs. I should really reread this one.

It's such a brilliant book, and I agree it's an easy read. Douglas Adams is a genius.

It has been really great so far! Definitely a fun read and I agree,
It has been really great so far! Definitely a fun read and I agree, Douglas Adams is a genius. I have the boxed set that came out when the movie did. I originally got it for my husband and he really loved them but I never got around to reading any of them. I fully intend to read the entire five piece trilogy. :)
I've never read the books. I didn't even know there was more than one. So is the movie based on just the first in the quintet/pentalogy/quilogy (seriously, what is the term for a 5 book set?) or is it a mashup of several?

IIRC it's just based on the first. And it's officially a trilogy in five parts. I guess if they were serious it would be called a pentalogy.

They are really worth the read. They are definitely fun and easy and Douglas Adams is definitely a genius!
