Quantum (quantumkatana) I'll read The girl w/all the gifts & The Rising for comparison, but does anyone know of ones that--like "The Girl"--have sentient zombies bit not YA, humorous or romantic like Warm Bodies?

A bonus would be one that is spread w/o a plague but through some other scientific means.

Thanks! I put them on my long list to read.

interesting. there doesn't seem to be a lot of sentient zombie stories. also, in dead again, "zombie-hood" is still spread by a virus. but i suppose that makes the most sense in our present day.

Michael Benavidez no problem :) reads pretty well, walking that fine line between YA and rather norm Adult books. not the greatest, but inventive and good. for me at least
