Book Dragon 🐉 📚 | 187 comments SECOND QUARTER CHALLENGE: CLEAR THE SHELVES
Duration: April 1 - June 30, 2016
(6/12)
As we move into the second quarter of the year, it's time to clear our shelves! Many of us (myself included) have shelves full of books that we haven't read. In my case, it's my goal to read as many books from my "owned-but-unread" shelf as possible. Others don't buy books, but have to-read lists that are getting out of control.

Either way, pick a goal and try to clear that many books off your shelves!

Feel free to make this your own - you can add extra requirements, like using a random number generator to select books like our randomizer challenge. You could limit the challenge to books you actually own, or tackle the books that have been on your to-read list the longest.

3 Stand Alone Novels - Already Owned
(3/3)
1. A Will and a Way - Nora Roberts
2. A White Cougar Christmas - Eliza Gayle
3. Good Neighbors - Sheila Roberts

Read a Trilogy
1. A Real Cowboy Never Says No (Book 1) Wyoming Rebels - Stephanie Rowe
2. A Real Cowboy Knows how to Kiss (Book 2) Wyoming Rebels - Stephanie Rowe

Finish 3 Books I Previously Started and Never Finished

4 Free Books - Already Owned
1. Submerged - Dani Pettrey -Alaskan Courage Series

5/12 completed
Facade's Retribution (Dark Desire Series Book 2) by Lisette Kristensen Was completed on May 3. I gave it 5 stars
Facade has discovered her self worth in the dark life she lives at The Mansion. Her friend Beth brought her here to help her after her disastrous relationship with Devlin all but destroyed her. Facade loves her new life and the chance to experience those dark areas of pain and submission.
I enjoyed Book One of Facade's story but did not expect the turn this book took. Book two delves deeper into the dark and titillating areas of BDSM. Facade must make the decision if this is the route she will use to help her find peace. The book is a quick well paced read. Not for everyone. 18+ read. reviewed

Megan (lahairoi) | 7470 comments Just cleaned another book off the Prime shelf - Love Me Sweet by Tracy Brogan. Cute and light, exactly what I needed after an intense, emotional book. The story is far-fetched, but it's romance, so that's not surprising. Worth reading on the beach or during travel. 3.5 stars

sadly yes.. just the 20 I was going to clear and now the 4 new ones..it's such a chore lol..I must not buy books. It was desperation that drove me to it! It was either new books or those awful trashy magazines. No competition really :P

This time I am managing to not shop for books as much as usual. I hope to do this till I bring down my TBR pile a little.

Want to Know a Secret?

Completed the 10 of my original target. Unfortunately my " to be read - already own" shelf has not gone from 177 to 167 but has ended at 181. So I am going to increase my target to 15 to try to at least come in with less than I had at the start!

Laura avery | 181 comments Lady Clementina..I keep hoping I will gather the will power from somewhere, Imagine a tidier bookcase that isn't over flowing. But It's hard when the local church holds regular book fetes and weekly book sales, for just 50p a book lol.

5/25 Around the World in Eighty Days
(one off my kindle shelf)

6/25 Gypsy Boy
One off my real shelf.

Nola Arganbright Update to post 170 I have completed 6/12 with the reading of Shadow Warrior by W.M. Clarke. An action packed Science Fiction read.

2. A Special Kind of Courage by Barbara Van Tuyl - I bought this book as soon as it came out, as it's the final in a series that I love. I didn't love this book, but it did put a cap on the series for me so that is good.

Ultrajbk | 67 comments 5/10 - Life or death. Of the books I have read thus far for this challenge, this one feels as if it hasn't really been hanging around that long on my shelves, as I only bought it last year. Rollicking read though. Good page turner.

Well done, that deserves a round of applause, lol. It is hard isn't it though? I have been filling my kindle up instead with all the free classics, so it feels like I have more to read..yet without the space loss issue!

7/25 The Colours Of Snow
Was ok, a freebie, I got from Freecycle. Abrupt end and not exactly a page turner, but easy enough to read.

Both of these books were in a pile of used books, mostly mysteries, my Dad gave me a few years ago when his friend was moving. I'd never gotten around to reading them, so I tackled them for this challenge. These two were quite good.
