Her sister didn't ask for any of it. And if Irina wanted the kingdom so much then wouldn't she want to keep it healthy? Why drain the lands until it's all dead? (view spoiler)[ I don't know if it's just me, but the whole big showdown that was hyped up the entire book was anticlimactic. The both of them just sent a few lower level spells at each other, then boom. Irina get swolled up by the Earth. Good riddance. I couldn't stand her whining and entitlement.

I loved this book though!! Definitely one of my favorite retellings. Kol and Lorelai's romance was amazing. No insta love or telling they love each other wayyyy too fast. Instead it was nice and gradual :))
