I have this checked out from the library right now. So glad you liked Dare Mighty Things, I thought it really sounded like something you'd like :)

Hello I'm back (after 10000 years lol)! :D Anyway right now I'm reading:
Which is a really fun sci-fi/adventure read and I'm excited to finish it. :)
So glad you’re back, Brigid! I’ve been on hiatus for a few months (years?) and have finally come back. 😉
Yahoo, the gang is back!! Glad you guys are here, Elora and Brigid!
Brigid, I've read The Long Way to a Very Angry Planet. I liked it!

Hello all! It’s been way too long since I’ve been in here. Been so busy! I am doing my HP reread! Listening but mostly reading the sorcerers stone! Forgot home much I love the book series. Me and my kids have watched the movies at least every 3 months lol
I watched The Ghost of Frankenstein on Saturday which inspired me to pick up
for Winter Bookish Bingo! :)
You were right, Jenny. ☺️ Book 3 of the Grisha Trilogy was fantastic! I’d forgotten most of what had happened in the series and am so glad I reread it. It was much easier to understand after having read SoC—once I understood who the Shu and Fjierdans were.

YAY! And I agree, I appreciate the Grisha trilogy so much more after Six of Crows! Really tied things together in my head!

The only reason I haven't re-read or re-watched Harry Potter recently is because we've been doing some organizing, and right now I can't get to them. ;)
Recently finished:
3.5 stars. It started off pretty good, but really dragged in the middle. But I did love the ending!
this was a good retelling of Sleeping Beauty. Added in a lot of other characters and world building, so that was interesting. 4 stars
really liked this one. It was different, but I loved all the flashbacks and the way the story was told. 4 stars
5 stars. Love these graphic novels! The art is fantastic.
Right now I'm reading
which is really interesting!
Going to be starting
and
soon!

I’m currently reading Heir of Fire, am about 110 pages in and am loving Celaena & Rowan! I’m also reading I See You by Clare Mackintosh and I’m not quite sure what I think about this yet.

Now I'm reading our David Estes's
. I just hit a pretty big reveal which I didn't see coming. Typical David brilliance! This is a bit of Star Wars meets the Guardians of the Galaxy meets Firefly.

Heir of Fire!!!
I'm on a mission to reread the whole series and then read Kingdom of Ash. I'm going so slooooowww at it though...but I think I will be picking up Throne of Glass again soon. Its calling my name! I'm on page 93 of my reread. Already reread The Assassin's Blade.

Finished reading:
liked this one way more than I was expecting to. It has some of the normal eye-rolling YA tropes, but I loved the Greek Mythology aspect, and all the twists! I never knew what was going to happen next, and who was really the bad guy at times!
I really liked this, learned about tons of comics I'd never heard of!
Enjoyable graphic novel.
Right now I'm reading
which has a really interesting world! I'm not too far in yet.
Barely started
late last night, so far so good! (I love mermaid stories)

soon!

First off, I want to apologize for not being around much (meaning not at all!). My life has been, well, crazy. I got a day job 18 months ago because sales of my backlist fell off a cliff and my wife and I were planning a second child (we now have two boys, 3yo Beau and 3mo Brody). I released Fatemarked a few months before I started the day job, as well as two of the sequels. After I started the position (Internal Auditor at the University of Hawaii), I released books four and five. The series sold extremely well in year one and then became a #1 bestseller in nine categories. *big sigh of relief* We were able to make the decision to stay in Hawaii and we bought a house and moved. Life is good, but still busy as any of you with kids understands. I am going to try to come around more because I miss all of you! As for what I am reading, this is somewhat pathetic, but nothing. My spare time is limited so I mostly use it to write these days. I miss reading! I'm hoping to figure out a way to squeeze it in soon :) Anyway, thank you all SO MUCH for being in this group for so long and keeping it alive! YOU ROCK.
Congrats on baby #2 David. Glad to hear from you. I barely read now as well and I don't even have children (hahaha)
Thanks all! Mr. Brody is SO cute and a super sweet little easy-going guy (the opposite of Beau who is in the demon-child phase :)
Dang, Heidi, sorry to hear that. Just lost interest or do you have other interests/responsibilities taking up your time these days? Either way, good to hear from you too!

Aww congratulations, David! It's good to hear from you. I've been busy as well now that I'm no longer in high school (wow, has it been THAT long ago I was here) and in college...Currently reading a bunch of books that I can't remember right now, oops.

So great to see you on here! Sorry about the reading time, thrilled about everything else :)

Thanks Jenny! It's okay, I just need to MAKE TIME to read, one way or another. I have an half hour commute to and from work so I should think about listening to audiobooks, just haven't done it yet. SOON :)

David!!! I’ve been seeing pics of Beau and Brody on Facebook from your wifey. Those are some cutie patootie boys!! You did good! And WOW... Congrats on the Fatemarked audiobook winning the SOVA award! That’s HUGE! And I just finished your newest book, Star-Born Mage. Another 5 star read for me!! We’ve missed you, but I understand. Babies, a new house, work, writing... Definitely try audiobooks so you can put your commute to good use. 😉🥰

I am still reading - just much slower. I also listen to the news more than audiobooks in the car like I used to. I always say that some reading is better than not reading at all :)

Sorry about your lack of reading time, but totally understandable under the circumstances. Great about everything else though, especially the award... Your books totally deserved that!

It does. O_O I'm not ready to fully fully adult yet, lol. I'm studying communications at the moment.
I wish I could do audiobooks again but 15 minutes isn't worth it. It probably is in the long run though?
