I almost picked up The Dark Days Club at the library the other day :) Good to know you liked it, I will have to grab it sometime!

I am on my re-read of HP & the Goblet right now too (re-reading the entire series this year :)
Ashley *Hufflepuff Kitten* wrote: "Praying TRK gets here soon! It's supposed to have shipped over the weekend with 3-day shipping but the tracking isn't showing anything *anxious*"Same here ... I keep anxiously checking Amazon but there doesn't seem to be any info. I didn't get any notification that it had shipped which makes me a little nervous, but then again it still says it's supposed to arrive tomorrow. *Takes a deep breath* So yeah I'll just pray that it gets here on time. :D
My copy of The Raven King (from Amazon) not only has not sent me an e-mail saying it shipped, but I don't even have an estimated delivery date. :/ I will be shocked if I even get it within this week.
Oh no! You guys! Although in the past when I've preordered something from Amazon, it didn't show up as shipped until it was already at my door. *fingers crossed*
I've only ever preordered a book one other time and I didn't get it until a few days after it was already out. I saw it at Wal-Mart before I got my copy AND it ended up being cheaper than my preorder and shipping price!

Unfortunately, its took 3 weeks for Amazon to get me The Winner's Curse! I had preordered it awhile ago. But I did pre-order it with other titles that haven't been released yet, so I wonder if that tripped it up. But in the past, I haven't usually had that problem. Usually I get a text Sunday night saying its preparing for shipping, or its shipped, and it arrives Thursday or Friday (I don't have Amazon Prime)

I didn't pre-order the Raven King, though, because I still want to reread them all, and I'm watching my pennies for a book event this weekend!

Currently I'm working on reading
. I like it so far, but I'm still recovering from an Eleanor and Park hangover. Its taking me some time, but I think I'll be hooked once I get into it a bit more.
Re-reading Pride and Prejudice, but also picking Voyager back up. Then I'm going to finish reading The Sweet Far Thing.

You guys are hilarious!! I'm going to *try* to hold off buying this until I get my massive TBR pile on my nightstand down at least a little bit! I think I'd like to reread the first 3 before The Raven King.

My TRK copy is coming from the Fountain Bookstore in VA; Maggie doodled in it :D I'm SO excited for it to get here! It should be here Thursday according to tracking.Started Mein Kampf the other day as part of one of my other groups' side-reads (not technically a group-read but a bunch of us were interested in it). 30 pages in and the first chapter is already so dryly written.
@Karen--lol. Reading TRK is getting a huge mental TBR out of the way. I preordered it last June when it was due for a sept release. And then it kept getting pushed back! Besides, Stiefvater is one of my top favorite authors, so she gets to jump the line :)Once I finish, I think I'll be moving onto Morning Star since it's due early next month (yikes!)
@Ashley--Yay for Thursday!

I just looked at Amazon again and it says it's "shipping soon" but it doesn't say anything about where the package is right now or anything. It also says it's "arriving today by 8 pm" ... Hopefully that's true. :D

Good luck! Amazon hasnt shipped a ton of people's preorders today!
UGHH yeah, I just got an email from Amazon saying the shipping is delayed and they don't know when it will be delivered. WTF?? I'm assuming a ton of people pre-ordered it, but still. I decided to just cough up the money for a Kindle version as well, because I'm not going to wait until God-knows-when to read it. :P But ugh I am so upset with Amazon.
Yeah it sucks. But on the bright side, I can definitely start it right away when I get home (instead of having to wait for it to arrrive in the mail). And now Maggie Stiefvater gets even more money from me, lol. ;)
The reason for the Amazon delay is because they were sold out well before today. Which in one sense is good for Maggie because that means there's been an amazing response already for this book. But it's unfortunate for everyone who has to wait :(
Also, if anyone needs a refresher Maggie wrote amazing (and very true to her style and personality) recaps of the books. This is the link for The Raven Boys one but at the bottom of the page are links for the other two as well. They really help. http://recaptains.co.uk/2013/09/the-r...

WOW....I've really GOT to start reading this Raven Boys series!!!! Everybody loves it!!!! I picked up the Raven Boys once and read a couple of pages and when it didn't grab me I put it down to pick up another time. I know, a couple pages wasn't even giving it a chance, but I had just come out of a book slump and wanted something that would grab me from the get go. Now that I'm out of that slump I NEED to try again!!!

I kept putting it down, but I kept hearing such good things I made myself keep reading and man am i glad, I promise it gets awesome! so just keep going. I went from not so sure about the book to LOVING it. I'm reading
and it's already so good. I just love learning more and more about Blue and the boys... Maggie is a fantastic writer!"If you never saw the stars, candles were enough..." i absolutely love that line.
sorry about going on and on.. lol. :)
I read the raven boys but never picked up the 2 or 3 book. Might sometime, since its such a hit.
Oda wrote: "I read the raven boys but never picked up the 2 or 3 book. Might sometime, since its such a hit."Me too. I think I need to re-read the first one though because I kept thinking it was a standalone book and that impacted my rating (I kept thinking things would wrap up and they never did). I forgot all of it by now too!
Thank you for the encouragement Jenn!! That's what I needed to hear! I'm glad it's normal to not get into it right away, but sticking to it is worth it!! We must give this series a chance Heather!!!
@Donna and Heather - Yes, definitely read it!! It's one of my all-time favorites. And the more I re-read them, the more I love them. :D@Heidi - Haha yeah I see how reading book 1 thinking it was a standalone would be confusing. There are a lot of unexplained things in the first book, but it all starts to unfold much more in the sequels.
Anyway, I'm almost halfway through book 4 and WOWWW it's amazing so far. It's really blowing my mind and I have no idea what will happen. AAAHH.
I can't wait to read it! I want to wait until I have a non-busy weekend, so I can curl up with it and give it my full attention (this series needs that!) And I would also like to reread the first 3.
I finished
and I ended up really liking it! It was so refreshingly unique!
Also finished
and also really liked it! It was great getting a new perspective, and getting inside Frosty's head! I really like that guy.
Moved on to reading
and totally into it! I love this series, the action and creativity of the characters of the world building is great. This one's also LOL funny! The jokes are SO CHEESY (made by the MC) you can't help but laugh!

I finished
yesterday and I really liked it even though I thought it was pretty slow at times. I'm going to continue
before I go into work tonight :)
Just finished the first book in the Broken City series,
and started
and am enjoying them very much. A different series. In a good way. Some dystopia with a little science fiction and some romance maybe to come.

I'm the same, Heidi. I'm not sure if I can muster the motivation to go back and re-read the first book and try to get into the series again, but so many people are raving that I might have to try :)

Rereading the series was a huge mountain for me. I kept putting it off until I couldn't any longer if I wanted to read the 4th one the day it came out. My trepidation was unwarranted: as soon as I got into the first one, I was swept away once more :)
Just read a bunch of really bad short stories yesterday. :( not fun. But today I'm rereading one of my favorite teen paranormal romance books "Wings" by Aprilynne Pike. I totally loved it in high school. :D
I'm almost done with The Dream Thieves and omg I love it so dang much!!!! I have BLLB ready to read next and my pre-order of TRK downloaded to my Kindle last night!!! Squeaaaaaal!!!! Favorite series ever!!!!
