Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 4472 comments My November 2017 book review post is up. You can check it out here: http://ziglernews.blogspot.co.uk/2017...

And I think I'm longing for the year to be over, because I had to edit this comment after publishing it and noticing I'd called it my December review post instead.

Jonathan is a STITCH, we loved meeting him!!! I have so many of his books signed now, but I'll probably try to pick up one or two more just to have an excuse to chat with him!

So I kind of fell off my Readathon wagon. I finished 3 books, which I mentioned earlier in the threads: The Last Ever After (The School for Good and Evil, #3) by Soman Chainani The Beauty of Darkness (The Remnant Chronicles, #3) by Mary E. Pearson A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy, #1) by Deborah Harkness 4 stars, 5 stars, 5 stars respectively.

I'm still reading It by Stephen King and I'm really not motivated to finish, but I need to so I don't have it hanging over my head! Also reading Middlemarch by George Eliot which I'm really liking, its just going to take me awhile to get through.

Needed a bit of a break, so read a really fun quick read: Everneath (Everneath, #1) by Brodi Ashton 4 stars

Going to be starting The Glass Spare (The Glass Spare, #1) by Lauren DeStefano today I think. My OwlCrate book club is reading it right now, so I thought why not?

Delia's Shadow (Delia Martin, #1) by Jaime Lee Moyer meant to read it ages ago, dident before now. so far its great.

Yeah, My Sister's Keeper was really good. I've seen the movie too and really enjoyed that. I enjoyed the book more though.

I'm working on a pirate themed adventure story myself, and some of those pirate books I read in November were on my brothers list of books you must read if you plan to write about pirates. He insists I can't write about pirates until I've caught up on reading certain books.

I'm reading The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks . It's definitely keeping my attention. I needed a small break from sci-fi which is unusual for me.

And I'm listening to Vengeance Road (Vengeance Road, #1) by Erin Bowman on audio and I'm surprised at how much I'm enjoying it. I didn't think I'd like a western.

Vengeance Road is SO GOOD! Loved it :)

Rose (The_Calm_Reader) (roselittlebookowl75) | 1372 comments I finished reading Outlander last night finally, five stars!! It only took me a little over a month to read it but I did it and it’s my longest read to date!!! So proud!!

I just started The Foxe And The Hound by R.S. Grey today!!!! I need a good RomCom after that long book I just finished to cheer me up with a good laugh!

Sorry I haven't been around lately! Beau's bday, work, writing, etc. Crazy busy but it's been good. And I HAVE been reading. I finished Iron Dragoons (Terran Armor Corps #1) by Richard Fox a decent read. Started both Camino Island by John Grisham and The Atlantis Gene (The Origin Mystery, #1) by A.G. Riddle BOTH are good so it's hard to decide which to focus on :) A good problem to have!

I kind of liked ACOTAR. I don't mind insta-love. I think there are tons of people who "fall in love at first sight". Might not be the smartest thing to do in real life, but it still happens. I hated the sequel. ACOMAF just pissed me off. I had no desire to keep reading the series after that book. It's classified as YA, but totally isn't. That's not the authors fault though. That's not the reason I didn't like it though. I just didn't like how the good guy turned bad and the bad guy turned good. It wasn't believable to me.

Books I've recently finished:

The Edge of the Shadows (Whidbey Island Saga, #3) by Elizabeth George 4 stars. I didn't like it quite as much as the first 2 in the series, but still a good mystery. One more left to read in this series!

The Wizard Heir (The Heir Chronicles, #2) by Cinda Williams Chima 4.5 stars. I really am loving this series! Its a great world the author has built.

The Glass Spare (The Glass Spare, #1) by Lauren DeStefano 4 stars. Very solid, enjoyable read. I loved the concept, and the plot moved fast. And really interesting characters! All of them flawed, some deeply so.

Next I'm reading Alive (The Generations Trilogy #1) by Scott Sigler

I finished Wonder Woman Warbringer (DC Icons, #1) by Leigh Bardugo 4.5 stars, loved it!

Finished Alive (The Generations Trilogy #1) by Scott Sigler solid 4 star read. Nice, fast paced story. The plot never stopped moving! And good twists.

Finished Harry Potter A Journey Through A History of Magic by British Library and really liked this! Great fun looking at documents and drawings and things out of JK Rowlings personal collection.

Finished Lullaby (Watersong, #2) by Amanda Hocking which was pretty good. This is a sinister mermaid/siren story!
Then I read Forgotten Lyrics (Watersong #0.5) by Amanda Hocking which is a short story in the same series, also good.

Right now I'm reading Always and Forever, Lara Jean (To All the Boys I've Loved Before, #3) by Jenny Han which I'm LOVING

And Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them The Illustrated Edition by Newt Scamander and this book is so beautiful!

Donna (donanicole) | 897 comments I just bought a book with contributions from 25 authors of which 100% of profits will go to the hurricane relief of Texas, Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands.
All the money (as in 100%) collected by One America will be passed directly to five local charities in Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, bypassing some of the larger national charities that sometimes seem to spend more on administrative costs and salaries than they do helping people in need.

I finished up Wonder Woman Warbringer (DC Icons, #1) by Leigh Bardugo and really enjoyed it!

I am soooooo close to being finished with Unearthed (Unearthed, #1) by Amie Kaufman . Another I'm really enjoying!

Not sure what to pick up after these 2. I'm a bit behind on my GR challenge so I need to read a couple of short books next to stay on target. I read too many LONG books this year including the Game of Throne books and Stephen King's IT. That put me behind. ;)

I should finish my audio of Red Rising (Red Rising, #1) by Pierce Brown in the next day or two and then I'll start Golden Son (Red Rising, #2) by Pierce Brown on audio. I bought tickets to see Pierce Brown in January for the release of the new book in this series Iron Gold by Pierce Brown

Also finished my reread (...again!) of Red Rising (Red Rising Trilogy, #1) by Pierce Brown on audio. Next up is my reread of Golden Son (Red Rising Trilogy, #2) by Pierce Brown also on audio.

Not sure what to start next in print or ebook. I'll have to see what mood I'm in. ;) I have sooooooooo many books to choose from. Nice problem to have! :P

I finished Always and Forever, Lara Jean (To All the Boys I've Loved Before, #3) by Jenny Han and I LOVED it, 5 stars, so many feels!

Got my illustrated copy of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by Newt Scamander and reading that right now. Beautiful book!

Also started Keep Me Still (Keep Me Still, #1) by Caisey Quinn for my K book for the alphabet challenge. I already read the prequel, Let You Leave (Keep Me Still, #0.5) by Caisey Quinn which is really kind of necessary to read first IMO. Its an okay read. Typical NA romance.

I'm about halfway through The Dead and the Gone (Last Survivors, #2) by Susan Beth Pfeffer and I'm really liking this. Hard to put down!
