I hear you! I need to pick A Dance with Dragons back up. I stopped to finish up some others and haven't had a chance to pick it back up. I have to finish one more and then I can get back to my GOT obsession!!

I am indeed obsessed. I have the audio and the book so I can go back and forth depending on where I am. Mornings I also watch You Tube videos about theories on GoT. A year and a half to go till the show comes back so will my obsession last that long?

Finished Whispers at Moonrise (Shadow Falls, #4) by C.C. Hunter 3.5 stars. I think this is my least favorite of the series so far. Not a lot happened, other than Kylie finding out some more things about her family. The showdown at the end was a big let down. These books are starting to follow a pattern, and its making it pretty predictable. One left to finish the series, plus a few short stories, then I'm taking a break from C.C. Hunter.

Next I'm reading The Edge of the Shadows (Whidbey Island Saga, #3) by Elizabeth George and I'm really excited for it! Love this series.

A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy, #1) by Deborah Harkness 579 pages

Maybe:
A Court of Wings and Ruin (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #3) by Sarah J. Maas The Passage (The Passage, #1) by Justin Cronin

So I have a dilemma! I had planned to pick up Artemis by Andy Weir tomorrow to read this weekend! I've been dying to get my grubby hands on it especially after reading the sampler chapters a few weeks ago. But... I just found out that on Black Friday, my bookstore will have signed copies! Do I wait one week to get the signed version? Or just go for it tomorrow? Ack. Decisions, decisions. ;-D I have a signed copy of The Martian by Andy Weir and I think a signed copy of his 2nd book would go great together on my new Xmas book shelves! (As soon as my son puts it together for me. :-P)

Very true, Victoria! I'm going there tomorrow to talk to the store manager who now knows me, I'm in there so often. If he can pull one aside for me to guarantee I can get one, I think I'll wait. Last year, the signed book i wanted was sold out before I got there. 😕

Nancy (paper_addict) Karen, did you get your signed books?

Usually we don’t go shopping on Black Friday but for some idiotic reason my husband told the kids we would go to the book store. We didn’t even get to B & N until around 1:00. I ended up getting a signed copy of Norse Mythology. They had a lot of copies of Artemis and I saw a few Ready Player One. I didn’t want to spend the money on three hard covers.

I'm finished Tech Mage (The Magitech Chronicles #1) by Chris Fox , great read! It inspired me to start writing my next series which will be a SciFi fantasy (magical weapons in space, aliens, a galaxy destroyer, that sort of thing).

Now I'm reading Iron Dragoons (Terran Armor Corps #1) by Richard Fox it's good so far!

Thanks to those who are reading Lifemarked, I really appreciate it!

My Tome Topple readathon is going pretty well. I've missed a few days of reading (Thanksgiving, Hubby's bday, etc) which has put me behind. Its just that time of year!

I've finished The Beauty of Darkness (The Remnant Chronicles, #3) by Mary E. Pearson and it was FANTASTIC, an epic 5 star read!

Currently reading: The Last Ever After (The School for Good and Evil, #3) by Soman Chainani It by Stephen King Middlemarch by George Eliot A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy, #1) by Deborah Harkness

Thoughts on them so far:
The Last Ever After--Enjoying it, but not as much as the first 2. Although now we are getting more action.
It--kind of dragging along for me. The last few chapters have been pretty good. I've figured out I enjoy the flashback scenes of when they were kids so much more than the current scenes as them as adults.
Middlemarch--I'm enjoying it so far, kind of reminds me a bit of the satire of Jane Austen, but written so much more intelligently I think. But its a LONG one, and in typical classical form, not a lot happens on each page.
A Discovery of Witches--not far in, but I think I'm really going to love this one!

I did not get to the bookstore. In fact, today is my first day of being semi-human since last Saturday. The flu ended up kicking my hiney and then some. :( I completely missed Thanksgiving. Thank goodness my son switched having everyone to his house.

So not only did I miss my signed books, I haven't even read a page for over a week. I'm still recuperating so not sure I'll be ready to get there tomorrow to pick up even an unsigned copy. I would have loved an Artemis and a Ready Player One.

So glad you at least got a copy of Norse Mythology, Nancy!!
