I liked Daughter of the Pirate King. I think it's very character driven versus plot driven, but I enjoyed it.

This was a hard one for me. There were some things I really like about Nomad, like the science, but I felt the random plot kept getting in the way of the broader story. I won't be reading book two although I am curious as to what happens.

I seriously just read this almost 500 page book in one sitting. And I swear I cried straight through the last 70 pages or so. An amazing read. Just amazing.

Next, I'm working on a read for review of OCEANS The Anthology (The Speculative Fiction Collection Book 2) by Ken Liu and I think I'm also going to be reading Royal Bastards (Royal Bastards, #1) by Andrew Shvarts

I have so many books going right now. ;-D And haven't had a chance to read much these past few days.

Reading Aurora by Kim Stanley Robinson on audio. Good space sci-fi with some hardcore science thrown in, some of it definitely making my head spin.

Almost finished with my ARC of OCEANS The Anthology (Frontiers of Speculative Fiction, #2) by Ken Liu . I think I have one story left.

Barely cracked A Storm of Swords (A Song of Ice and Fire, #3) by George R.R. Martin because this book is too freaking heavy! Hahaha! Anyone else have a hard time reading giant books? My arms can only take so much when it's late at night and I'm reading in bed. Thank goodness it's the weekend. It's better to read this one in my reading chair.

And last, I'm reading an ARC of The Whispering Room (Jane Hawk #2) by Dean Koontz but decided to wait until I had a big block of time to devote to reading. It's getting too good to read in little pieces.

Yes, you are, Rose! I'm doing the same thing by rereading Game of Thrones series. And in October I'll be buddy reading It by Stephen King with Jenny. I've been trying to throw in shorter books to try to maintain my count for the Goodreads challenge. I'm only 3 books behind at this point. I expect to be further behind by the time I get through GoT and It. Yikes.
