I am now FINALLY powering through HP and The Goblet of Fire and loving it!!!!! I'm at page 420!!!! Gonna finally finish this! I went to the Yuleball last night! It was simply magical!

One of the best parts of the book :) I loved this one so much from cover to cover :)

Set Heartless aside for now and I'm still reading I Am the Messenger, which I am almost done with. When I finish, I'm going to read Talking as Fast as I Can by Lauren Graham.
I've heard that several people have had to set Heartless to the side :(I had such high hopes after the Lunar Chronicles.

I think the problem is that I can't really connect with the main character, despite having the same name as her.
Karen wrote: "I set Heartless aside too, Catherine! I really have no desire to pick it back up at this time."I can understand that. To be honest, Heartless almost didn't get the four stars it got from me. For the first couple of chapters I was loving it, and would have been ready to give it five stars, but after that it went downhill a bit, in my opinion, and it was only the whimsical Alice In Wonderland style sillyness that stopped it from getting the lower rating from me, to be honest.

I had the same problem Catherine (except for the name thing). She's just not likable, and I am even having a hard time finding her sympathetic.

I find the dynamic between her and Jest to be fake and a bit cliché to be honest, which I also think is part of the problem. I'll finish it for sure, but just not right now.

I am deeply saddened by this news, Donna. I am so sorry. Though I cannot fathom what you and your family are going through, my thoughts are with you. I write about great tragedies in my books, and even with my fictional characters being affected, they impact me deeply. In real life those feelings are amplified infinitesimally. There's nothing to say that can make this tragedy any easier, but I hope your family can eventually find peace in your own way. All the best, my friend. Hugs from all of us.

After all the positive feedback, I requested
from the library!!Made myself finish
. I really liked it at first. Kate was a tough MC, and I was so excited reading her. Until she totally acted out of character and ended up like most YA characters. *sigh* :(I binge read
last night. It was both good and disturbing at the same time, so I couldn't bring myself to put it down. It was a REALLY good read.
I just finished the audio of
this afternoon.
Started
. Still reading
and listening to

And I just hit my challenge of 150 books in 2016! Woot woot!! With a few days to spare!

I finished the third Kingfountain Series book by Jeff Wheeler and thought I'd finished only to realize three more books come out next year! I'm sort disappointed, sort of excited LOL

Wow! Well done! For the first time in four years, I won't make my goal :( But I'm okay with it as I read some really long books this year :) I'm still reading a fair bit, so that's the important thing!

Finished I am the Messenger. Loved it! Tried to read Talking as Fast as I Can, but got annoyed within the first couple of pages and returned it to the library. Currently reading The Obisidian Chamber and An Ember in the Ashes.

Looking for a new book with a good villain because classes are over and I'm bored. Also, hi, everyone! It's been a while. Who remembers me?
Finished An Ember in the Ashes. I'm glad I bought it and gave it another chance cause I ended up liking it a lot. Now reading The Name of the Star and continuing reading The Obsidian Chamber.

Of course we remember you, Harold! If you haven't read I Hunt Killers yet, that series has an awesomely scary villain(s).
