I had to switch back over to another library book that became available, so now I am reading the new John Grisham book,
.

Ha! I do that too.
I used to read all of Grisham's novels, but got burnt out a few years ago. Probably about the time I discovered YA!! ;)

I love this series. I'm glad you finished and enjoyed them.

The Egyptian one (The Kane Chronicles) is actually my favorite :)

Slower reading speed (caused by less reading time due to other commitments) combined with being asked to review books for a couple of authors I've reviewed for in the past, all combined to mean I started reading it about a week later than I'd planned, and haven't finished it yet. I'm loving it so far though.

I did for a while, too, but then got back into them and caught up. His more recent stuff isn't nearly as good as the Grisham classics (the Firm, the Client, the Pelican Brief, and my person favorite The Street Lawyer), but I still enjoy them :)

I liked it more the second time, but I DNF the sequel at about 20 pages. I loved her Legend series but am put off by her writing style in this one. :(

I completely agree. I was a huge fan of Legend, it was one of the first of the new wave of YA dystopian novels I read. I'm glad I DNF'd the first book early on. I have little patience these days. If a book doesn't grab me pretty early on, I move on!

I agree about the writing technique cause I felt it was a little detached.

I used to read every book I picked up, all the way through, but now that's just ridiculous.
It's been hard recently, though, cuz I've put so many down. I feel like a grumpy person.
But then I'll read a string of awesome books and feel okay again.

So excited!"
I had to force myself to put it down each night. I put in very long work days and knew I needed sleep this last week. If I was smart, I would have held off until the weekend so I could have read it in a couple of sittings. But, it was soooooo good! I couldn't help myself. It was my reward each night! ;)

15, Thursday, my 18 year old grandson was killed in a car accident with his friend Jude. They had left high school and Jude was driving them in the pouring rain to work at the Nest delivering furniture. Joe's grandfather owned the store. The car hydroplanes head on into incoming traffic and they were both killed instantly at 1:15 pm on Thursday.
He was a talented athlete and artist, a great kid who was so caring and funny.
We are devastated and miss him terribly. It has been almost unbelievable but the small community and large family have been so supportive.
Oh Donna, I'm so so so sorry to hear this :( What a terrible tragedy, but I'm glad you've had family and friends rallying around you. I'm so sorry for your loss. I'll keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Of course, Rick Riordan's books-=always good! This one really amped up the stakes for the last book! Colleen Hoover--I like her books quite a bit, this one was one of my favorites. A heartbreaking story about family and domestic abuse. She actually based a lot of this story on her parents relationship when she was young. Wild was way better than I thought it would be, a real page turner! The Paris Wife was very good, although very sad. I seem to keep picking sad books lately LOL! But I liked learning more about Ernest Hemingway, even if it made him look pretty despicable. Untamed was an intense quick read, but definitely needed more character development.
Right now I'm reading
(some light Christmas Romances) and
which I'm loving!
