Finished Gemina last night. I liked it, but didn't love it like I did Illuminae. I found it to be too long and some parts of it were a bit cliché. I'm going to start Heartless tonight and I'm excited!

Right now I'm rereading A Court of Thorns and Roses so I can FINALLY read A Court of Mist and Fury! I think after that I'll read Heartless :D
Finished reading
and I liked it, but it had flaws and I don't think it was Oliver's best work. But still a page turner and unique format and concept!
Next I'm reading
, so excited for this sequel, I loved Magonia!

Great post, Victoria!!
Great post, Victoria!!
Okay, I know I promised I will start reading Ready Player One last week, as per your suggestion to end my slump, and I did! But I had to put it down for a while because my friends and I are buddy-reading
. We're reading 14 chapters a day and now on Day 3. The 'game' and the magic surrounding the main characters are very interesting. :)
Finished
and
. I think I rated them all 4 stars. All were enjoyable reads!
About to start
and started
last night. Nope, I've never read Anne of Green Gables but watched a special on PBS on Saturday and realized I loved it and HAD to read the book. I helped my granddaughter with her book report on it a couple of years ago which peaked my interest but just never got around to it. ;)

Jenny: I hope you enjoy Redemption as much as I did when you get to reading it.

I first read Anne Of Green Gables a couple of years ago. It's a good series.
I adored all of the Anne books! I DVR'd the new Anne movie but the one with Megan Follows will likely always hold my heart.
Love all of the Anne of Green Gables books. And the miniseries with Megan Follows as well.
Also really love "The Story Girl" and the sequel by Lucy Maud Montgomery. Everything that woman wrote is fantastic! (That I've read anyways!)

I'm only a couple of chapters in, but the premise of the story is pure Shusterman!!! Really good so far!

I'm listening to
on audio - and I'm so happy it's narrated by the same person as book one!I've also just started in on
and I'm really liking it so far.
I finished
, fantastic end to a great series! Now back to
until my next library book comes in :) The Amber Project is an awesome read for those who haven't tried it yet. And the author is a really good guy and friend of mine. He's up and coming in a big way!

Just finished
and it ended up being one of the best kid's books I've ever read. It's definitely not dumbed-down in any way and doesn't read like a kid's book. After a few books that I couldn't get past the first chapter (or the first page, in one case), I'm now starting
The first few chapters were promising. *fingers crossed* that it stays good! :)
I started and finished
and honestly, I was blown away. If you like alien type beings+end of the world prophecies+and huge plot twists then definitely check this out. It's honestly been awhile since I read a good book of this type.
So glad to see everyone is finding some good reads!
I finally finished
and I liked it quite a bit. It had some nice twists, although I really did not like any of the protagonists all the much. But I did feel sorry for them, they did not deserve what happened to them.
Also finished my reread of
, so good!
Also read
and I absolutely loved it. Very inspirational!

Woot! I've been in a Rick Riordan kind of mood lately :)

Yay Jenny! He's one of the few authors I've been following consistently since I was like 12 years old, lol. His books are always so much fun. :)

They definitely are! I started reading him as an adult, lol, but I was reading them with my kids, trying to get them excited about reading. We loved those first Percy Jackson books so much :) I have very fond memories of them.

I think the first Percy Jackson book came out when I was in middle school so that's when I first read it, haha. :D I still love that series all these years later; I think I've read them all at least three times if not more. They just have such sentimental value for me! And all my younger siblings love them, too. :)

My kids were 13 or so when we read them, but the whole series was out, so they weren't brand new. We read a book a month that year, and we all had so much fun with it!

I'm jealous, I had to wait a year between books, lol! Aw that's so great. :) My siblings like to read them out loud to each other, which is so cute.
I too am a big Riordan fan, I'm almost completely up to date on his works. Sometimes I get a bit burnt out on them, but then I get in the right mood and catch up :) His sense of humor is awesome!
Brigid: We loved to read them out loud a lot, too. I think all his books are so rereadable!
David: I'm working on getting caught up! And yes, I LOL a lot while reading his books :)
