@Heather Love The Princess Diaries. I think I read up to book 3 and stopped cause book 4 didn't grab me. But first three in the series are definitely good!
I've decided I'm going to pick an author each month to try and get caught up on. For August I've decided on Cassandra Clare.
I'm going to try to reread the following :

I wish I could decide in advance what I plan on reading. I try but there's always something new and shiny distracting me. And then I may pick up the planned book and decide I'm just not in the mood so move on to whatever mood I'm in at the moment.
Just started This Savage Song. It's okay so far, hopefully it picks up. Right now it reminds me of the beginning of AGOS (ADSOM #2), which was also a bit slow.
I know what youre saying Karen. Most of the time, I 'announce' that I'll read this book next only to change it as I read the first chapter. That's why I have so many ebooks stored in my ibooks so I can easily see if I feel like reading a certain book next

I never seem to have much time to read during the week so I try to read shorter things or brainless material. So this week, I've been making my way through the stories of
This weekend I'm reading an ARC and then a beta read right after by one of our favorite authors!! ;) ;) Woot woot!

I've finished The Amber Project, and also read Think-A-Lot-Tots: The Animal Cell, Think-A-Lot-Tots: The Neuron, and Transient Echoes. Now I'm reading My Boney Girl and The Enchanted April.
I've been in a reading slump for awhile now, so I'm currently rereading The Raven Boys series so I can finally read The Raven King! :D

Well, I think I will change my author this month, then, and wait to read Cassandra Clare in December, after that book is out :)
So I'm changing my August author to Libba Bray! The books I'm hoping to read by her:
The Diviners would be a reread :) Excited, I love this author!

So I just finished HEX by Thomas Olde Heuvelt and it blew my mind. It's a fantastically creepy and interesting book. The book and author are Dutch and HEX was recently translated to English (Thomas was able to do a lot with this since he speaks English) and I'm so glad they did. I loved this chilling book. I highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys a hair-raising read. Next up, I'm rereading the Throne of Glass novellas (The Assassin's Blade). I'm going to start rereading that series (maybe not all back to back) so that I can get ready for Empire of Storms next month.
@jenny I love A Great and Terrible Beauty! I'm still reading The Sweet Far Thing, but for some reason that one hasn't grabbed me.
I started Annihilation this morning. It was hard to put down and do other things that need getting to. LOL
Just finished my re-read of Throne of Glass! It was even more freaking fantastic than it was the first time around! Yay for re-reads!

tonight. I'm not in very far but not quite sure how I feel about it yet. It's been on my TBR list forever.

Finished Steelheart. I can't write reviews since I'm still in Korea, with no computer, but I'll provide my thoughts here. I don't think it was the most original or groundbreaking of books (clichéd romance & character tropes, original premise was nothing new) but it displayed Sanderson's writing abilities. He writes action scenes really well, and the plot was complex and shrouded in mystery but never overly confusing. He also did a good job of developing the main character, whom I found likable and realistic as a teenager. I do think David was a bit too lucky/smart in dangerous situations- he should have died like, ten times and each time found a way out miraculously. Steelheart was really entertaining though, and I look forward to reading the sequel. 4 stars!

I finished it this morning. I liked it. I already checked out the second book, Authority, and plan on starting it tonight!

I finished
which I enjoyed, a nice quick action-packed read.
Also finished
which was just okay for me. I actually liked the world building and the crazy aliens and Sci-Fi, I just never connected with Daemon and Katy as a couple. Never really felt it, for some reason *shrugs*

Currently reading This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab and enjoying it so far. I held back in reading this because its not available in our local bookstores yet but I can't help but open it in my phone. I feel like Schwab is slowly becoming an instabuy author for me :)
@Rham I'm reading it too! Got it from the library! I'm almost at part three and shit is starting to hit the fan, lol!
I'll read Firefight with you, Daniel! Let me know when you're ready. And I really enjoyed the Nil series! I need to read book 3! I own the set in hardback! :)
Karen, I'll let you reread Steelheart first- it will be a while before I can get to Firefight. Hopefully I'll like Nil too!
