I an about a third of the way done. Pretty good so far. I am at the point where Joe gets diagnosed with Huntingtons. I like how the author provides some clinical background of the disease.

Oh nice!! I am curious to find out what you think. My review was more due to my persona life than anything else.

Hey Kara,
It actually ends the 9th. It is a really fast read. I read it over two nights. If you ever need a book delayed place let Lilith or I know. I should send out a reminder soon. Sorry for any confusion.

Alright, so I liked this book. It wasn't excellent, but good enough that I'm happy I read it. I really liked how the story started and how you saw Joe going about his every day business, like any ordinary person and how the symptoms gradually showed up, without him knowing, at the time, that it was Huntington's. I thought the descriptions of those sceens and the descriptions of his feelings and reactions were really well done.
I also liked how the book was divided into a few parts and each part had factual information about Huntington's. It was unique in that way and I felt like it added something special to the book...almost like it makes you feel, like wow...I'm reading a fictional story about this family and all the characters and events are made up, but this disease is so real!
The way the book opened up was SO alike in the way that "Still Alice" opened up. I have no read the book, but I have seen the movie and it is excellent. I'm looking forward to reading "Love Anthony" and seeing how it compared to "Inside the O'Briens" amd "Still Alice."
If they made a movie based on this book, I would nominate Eddie Redmayne to play the role of Joe. I just think of how phenomenal he was when he played Steven Hawking in "The Theory of Everything" and I can think of no better actor to play Joe!
I also have something to say about the end, but I shall hold off until Kara finishes the book!
