Madilina | 5 comments I am currently revising/rewriting my book 'The White Rose'; aim to republish in the future. Could the question about my book be deleted. This discussion was started by myself. It may or may not be applicable to my revised version. Many thanks!

lethe | 16359 comments Librarians can't delete questions (unfortunately).

Since the question wasn't answered or liked, is there no way you can delete it yourself?

(To save others the trouble of having to look up the book, here is the link: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...)

The question page is here: https://www.goodreads.com/book/258034...

Madilina | 5 comments I tried. There was no option to EDIT. I had sent Goodreads an email regarding the removal of a quote from my book. They actioned it and told me that for future requests I should post such a request in this group and ... taken from the email;
"In the future, if you have a quote you would like to edit or remove, you'll want to post in the Librarians Group, where our army of volunteer librarians will be happy to help! To do so, just join the group by clicking the "Join" button under the group profile photo. From there, you can simply post an edit request by starting a new discussion thread here:"
In the meantime I will try again ...

Madilina | 5 comments Hi Lethe, I just tried again to remove my discussion. There is no EDIT function.

Madilina | 5 comments aha!! I only just this second decided to add a comment notifying Goodreads readers to my page of the irrelevance of this discussion. I clicked on ADD COMMENT and voila' there was the DELETE button! This discussion has now been removed and I can get back to my writing.

lethe | 16359 comments Glad that it worked :)

But for future reference, quotes are different from questions/discussions. The first can be edited/deleted by librarians, the latter can't.

Madilina | 5 comments Ditto ... yes, I got it after I had deleted my discussion. Thanks!
