Notes for 2017

Implement an "email me after a certain date." You are just not seeing the notes on Goodreads directed to you and you're missing important things! :(
Moderators worked GREAT! Next year, put a moderator sign up. BUT, the moderator has to be willing to take on a work load.
We quadrupled our numbers this year from 150 to 600. With this ratio of growth, you can expect 2,400 members for 2017! You can not manage that much on your own.

Angela! DO NOT USE Google Forms during the Cyber Cons. The format when downloaded was too much work to sort out. Next year, have ALL THE AUTHORS mail their author packet out to all the bloggers in one shot. The end. The Bloggers can then pick and choose what they want from the packets and apply.
DRESS REHEARSAL
If you host an event, if you took time out at all to build hyperlinks anywhere for the convention, please set aside time after the links go live to do a link check. I will be sending out a reminder the morning of. Bloggers: Run through the links in any blog tours you are participating in. Authors: check your buy links and social media links. If it is scheduled to go live on April 8th, don't assume they work. Please check them!
Next year, everything will be scheduled the day prior to the convention so we can do a "Dress rehearsal" before the Convention.

In putting this week's blog post together, (B2BCyCon is topic), I found myself wandering through this virtual fair and wishing there were aisles I could choose from -- a sciFi aisle, separate from a Memoir Aisle, separate from Historical Fiction. That way all the different BOOTHS wouldn't be mixed in together. I know it's too late for 2016, but wondering if this is a good idea for 2017? In any event, the idea is going in the blog. (janetgivens.com/blog) It's now a blog focused on how I handle confusion.

- Angela! The deadlines worked GREAT for you! It gave you time to get your own planning done and get things wrapped up. The only problem was, some deadlines were too close to the Convention. Make the deadline for 7 March 2016 next year.
- Address the Field "Conventions." Have banners ready for them to print out with instructions and consent to print and post.
- Angela! Have the Blog Tours more... independently run. You struggled with the work load. Next year, have them post their own links and have them swap their links with each other. Organize it, don't request info as it complicated a lot putting yourself as the middle man.
- Angela! Limit yourself as to how much stuff you can do for yourself. With nearly 300 authors, you struggled with promoting your own author self while running Brain to Books. Next year, just have a promo link that ties all events to it because you barely had time to run a book and B2B :(
