I'm having a hard time figuring out where the short story "The Ship Who Returned" lands in the reading order for the Brainship series.

Can anyone assist?

ETA: I was assuming it would be #1.5 but I am not sure due to the time frame of the story.

Well, here's what the author said : http://pernhome.com/aim/2011/11/brain... (yes, she links out in 2011 to Wikipedia and there's no way of knowing if what she saw in 2011 is what the current article says today).

Of course there is. Look at the history page, and compare the current page to one from November 2011. While there are some changes, it doesn't appear the series ordering has been changed.
