That will absolutely be:
The Assassin's Blade (Throne of Glass, #0.1-0.5) by Sarah J. Maas
I love the whole series and this is no exception. Sarah J. Maas is simply a really great writer! :-)

Pretty good book and I really enjoyed the narration.

Karsyn (imzadi) Favorite(s)

After having it picked for me (out of a special TBR shelf specifically for picks) for a swap, I read ~

Just One Damned Thing After Another (The Chronicles of St. Mary's, #1) by Jodi Taylor

And I LOVED it. It's about an organization that travels through time witnessing historical events. The characters are flawed, the travels are nuts and they are always tripping over themselves from one disaster into another. It's GREAT!! I have since read books 2 & 3 and I started book 4 last night. There's 6 in the series so far (plus some novellas) with the 7th coming out this year. If you at all like time travel stories, I highly recommend these books!!

Just One Damned Thing After Another (The Chronicles of St. Mary's, #1) by Jodi Taylor A Symphony of Echoes (The Chronicles of St. Mary's, #2) by Jodi Taylor A Second Chance (The Chronicles of St. Mary's, #3) by Jodi Taylor

Written In Red (The Others, #1) by Anne Bishop Written In Red is book one in the The Others series by Anne Bishop. The whole series is a favorite, but I especially love this first book because it was my introduction to the fabulousness that is The Others. :-)

Rylie | 298 comments My favorite book started, and finished, during the second week of the RaT.

There were 2 that were extremely good, but I'd have to say my absolute favorite was
The Moon in the Palace (Empress of Bright Moon #1) by Weina Dai Randel
this was a 400 page novel, and I read it almost in one sitting, definitely in one night.
If you like historical fiction at all, even a little bit, this book is for you. It follows the life of Empress Wu, the only female ruler of China. This is the first half of her life; there will be a second book that I absolutely can't wait to read.
I've never read a book set in ancient China before until this one, and what an introduction this was.
