"Fascinating. Do what do you prefer to be Ariel?" Petra asked as Ariel shrugged.

"I do not Identify as male or female nor does my sister Regan. He does not like being defined by gender so we often change gender which is why our children are often confused." Ariel sighed cleaning her claws.

"Oh that explains why they couldn't tell us. Umm can I look at your childs ribs? Eld and Gunther said that she had bled through her bandages." Petra asked and Ariel frowned.

"Just let the female look Ariel it will help your child later." Viola sighed.

"I am not releasing control when my child is in danger like this." Ariel snapped.

"Fine I will release Captain so you can see that they are not in danger and I am sure that the snake will release her child to support me." Viola sighed in frustration and Erwins eyes widened.

"You can just choose when to release their bodies like that with out any consequences?" He asked and Viola shook Levi's head.

" Ariel strangled my child so he will be gasping for breath when I return his body to him the snake may be different but it comes down to the child." She explained pulling down Levi's collar showing the bruised skin.

Adalinda nodded, having seen both the male and female versions of both of the fox siblings. Although, thinking back on the past few era's Ariel had seemed to prefer the female shape and Regan the male, though that may change in the next few era's. Adalinda narrowed her eyes as Ariel refused to let the humans help her child. Seriously, she could be so stubborn at times! Even Aelic bared his mental fangs at the goddess, just as annoyed as Adalinda. With a sigh, she nodded, agreeing with Viola. If releasing her child is what it takes to calm down Ariel then she would do it. Aelic also agreed, knowing that although released, his goddess would stay close (just in case). 'As long as you help Viola's child and Ariel's child then Viola and I will leave. Ariel, your child is safe. Follow us when you are ready.'

Viola watched as Ada left and she sighed. "Just dont freak out why my child drops like a stone." She sighed as she too left and Levi's eyes became normal before he dropped suddenly gasping for breath panting like a dog and holding his throat.

"Captain are you ok?" Petra asked crouching down infront of him.

"I'll be fine I just beed to catch my breath." He panted as he oulled himself back up. "Your turn Ariel. Regan is waiting."

"Fine I'll go but if you hurt my child again spider I will gut you." She threatened and Levi frowned.

"You said that last time now shoo." He said as his breathing stabilized.

Aelic smiled in his mind as Adalinda retreated and allowed him control once more. Their connection faded but he could still feel her lingering presence. He felt safe knowing she was watching and protecting him. As his eyes lost their glow and returned to their normal green colour, Aelic shivered a little, stretching his limbs to once again get used to controlling a physical body. Once settled, he glanced up and just caught Levi dropping to the ground gasping for breath. Knowing that Levi would be fine, he turned to watch Ariel, giving her a small smile of encouragement. He was hard pressed to keep himself from grinning at Levi's response to Ariel's threat but with effort, managed it. With one last sigh and glare, Ariel left. Now came the hard part.

Aelin felt Ariel leave her and as she did intense pain washed over her and she too sank to the ground holding her ribs biting her tongue to stop her from screaming in pain. Petra walked in and placed a hand On Aelins shoulder. "Are you ok Snow?" She asked and Aelin shook her head.

"God that hurts my ribs have broken, and the skin and mucles around them have torn. I need a minute." She said through gritted teeth.

Aelic bit his lip in worry as Aelin sank to the ground, evidently in immense pain. Of course she wasn't ok! Her ribs had just been rebroken! 'You're ok, just focus on your breathing. Everything will be alright.' He said slowly and calmly, trying to help in any way he could.

"Really snake I would never had guessed." Aelin growled as she stood up again on shaking legs reaching for one the the bars gaining some support.

"Erwin pick her up i have to change her dressings anyway and a bath will soothe her pain." Petra said and Erwin nodded picking up thw injured girl and walking away.

Aelic's face went cold as a surge of annoyance swept him. He knew that Aelin was in pain but she didn't have to say that! Doesn't she know how hard all this is for him too?! He was trapped over here, in a cell that had him on the edge of panic multiple times a day, unable to do anything but watch as those he cared about got hurt. Not to mention the fact that he had only recently been learning what to say and do in certain social situations. Never before had he seen anyone but himself hurt. So sue him if his lines come from books, at least he was trying! After his internal rant though, he just felt tired. So tired. Everything about the last couple of weeks had been slowly tearing down his defences. Worry, fear, anger, pain with only the occasional smattering of happiness. And the bars. Waking up to those bars, sometimes it made him think all this had just been a dream and he was back in the palace. That he had never left. With a sigh, Aelic turned his back on the others and crawled into his hammock. 'Wake me up when you guys want to sleep.' He said to them before curling up and blocking out the world for a while.

Levi gave a curt nod ad the snake went to sleep and waited for Rowan to give the all clear. "Do you think Snow has noticed yet?" Levi asked causally rubbing his sore neck lightly Aelins grip was very strong.

"She knew the second he got locked away the first night here." Rowan sighed.

"So being confined or contained to make it easy on you or do we think it is the bars?" Levi mused.

"Bars seem to have more affect on him. Snow knows this already and she is still trying not to show too much care for him. She knows that if we don't care for him which you and I don't they will leave him alone and not bring him back down here again." Rowan explained leaning his forearms against the bars.

"He did show his care for us though so it is counterproductive." Levi sighed and looked at Rowans confused face. "Not helping in anyway shape or form."

"So what does it matter others have shown care for us but they have not been thrown down here." Rowan frowned.

"I guess we still have to try to catch up to her." Levi sighed in annoyance.

Aelic had fallen into a light doze but was not fully asleep yet. Going to sleep with dark thoughts was not conductive to a deep rest and so, a semi-conscious doze was all he could manage at the moment. However, as much as he tried to block out the world around him, he couldn't help but hear certain snippets of the others conversations. So they knew. They all knew just how much bars affected him. Wonderful! He could only hope that they would just accept it and move on, he really couldn't deal with them questioning him. He would tell them in time (read as much later on). Just as he was beginning to regret not fully falling asleep he heard the conversation take a different turn. Aelic had known that in the presence of guards they had to pretend not to really like one another. However, it was something he had, not really forgotten, but certainly gotten lax with. Although he could have tried to say it was because even strangers would have gotten close after weeks in here and he was just playing the part, he couldn't lie to himself. It was because he was scared, and just purely forgot. He scoffed to himself, angry that he would let his fear control him in this way. Idiot! How are you supposed to rule a country when a thing like fear would make you forget something so simple?! Long convoluted strategy like games were his specialty, but it seems even he was fallible to the trap of human emotions. He would have to learn from this and be better in the future. Although he was annoyed at his mistake, he was strangely happy that, after all this time, Aelin had not forgotten, and had been fighting to help him. It was that thought and the subsequent burst of warm happy emotions that finally let his light doze deepen into true sleep.

Aelin lay sleeping in Erwin's arms as he carried her back into her cell and lay her down in her hammock walking away. "Snow stop foxing you fox." Levi said poking her cheek.

"I know you'll only bug me and I am far too tired and sore for that so I am going to sleep it off." Aelin sighed swatting away Levi's hand as she rolled onto her right side curling into a ball.

"Fine your brother and I can do something. Maybe I'll teach him maths or something." Levi sighed before he watched as Aelin fell asleep and the day quickly passed one down four to go. They were waiting. The guards. But what for it simply made no sense. "Huntsman wake the snake we should get some rest whilst we can." Levi groaned getting up and stretching as Rowan nodded and woke the snake.

"Snake you slept all day you can take first watch." Rowan sighed making sure Aelic was awake before he went to bed him self. Aelin meanwhile waited quietly in her hammock till the other two fell asleep and she got up. Her legs weak ribs burning and head spinning she grabbed the bars to the cell closest to Aelic.

"21 are you there?" She asked her eyes looked dead and her voice held little life since she had long lost hope with her brother. She knew she would die here one day she just wanted it on her own terms. "21......Snake.........Please snake.... Don't ignor me........Please." She whispered trying to get Aelics attention but not wake the others.

Aelic was roused from his sleep by Rowan, asking him to take the first watch. With a yawn and a few tired blinks he nodded, watching as the others climbed into their hammocks and slipped into sleep. He slowly sat up, trying to get his sleepy mind back into gear, barely noticing that Aelin was awake and standing. Her voice slowly filtered through though and he looked over at her, forcing himself to look past the bars. Although he had learnt from the others that Aelin was only trying to protect him, emotions don't always listen to logic and he couldn't control the surge of annoyance, fear and hurt he still felt. He has been scared and her dismissive attitude had hurt him, annoyed him, and made him feel more alone and afraid than ever. Now though, he knew better and that hurt was cut in half by happiness and....some other weird emotion ((love!!)). The hurt was still there, just lessened and he knew it would disappear soon (stupid emotions not listening to good logic). Wait a minute....Aelic frowned to himself before suddenly realising that he hadn't replied to Aelin! Stupid morning brain! 'Sorry! Yes Snow?' He said, trying to remember if she had asked him something or what not.

"So you are there. I am sorry for snapping at you. I am just trying to get you away from here." Aelin sighed holding her ribs pressing her forehead to the still cool bars.

Aelic sighed gently at her words and actions, eyes filled with sympathy and compassion and thankfulness ((love too!! But he doesn't know it yet)). He could feel the last of his hurt and annoyance drain away, along with the tension he hadn't known he was carrying. 'I know...' He said quietly, with a sad little smile. 'I'm sorry to.'

"I know that if little to no care is shown the guards lose intrest. If intrest is lost there is no game. Brother, 88 and I will be traped down here till we die or lose our selves. There is still hope as it is called for you to stay away from here." She explained her voice soft but breathing heavy. "You have seen our fate worse than hell you do not deserve to be down here to watch us die."

Aelic frowned, brain finally kicking into gear and recognising the depressed words. He knew that this happened after every game but he still hated to see her so lost, so hurt and depressed. 'And yet I would choose to stay here even if my cell was opened right now! Snow, I will stay by your side, I will walk with you, through thick and thin, darkness and light. I am with you. I shall not leave. And anyway, none of us shall die down here. You are not trapped. We shall leave this place victorious.' He said quietly yet fiercely, with an authority that only a prince could naturally have.

"This year at least two of us will leave. My concern is not for this year but for the coming years. Captains body can't take much more of this torture and in a few years he will fall at the hands of another and die by the claws of my brother and I. My brother and I are soon to lose any emotion we have left for the toll this hell has on us. Eventually it will be me standing alone. My brothers shoulder whilst it has healed well another blow to it similar to the one on my ribs can render his arm useless. I somehow manage to reduce my number of injuries but the fate remains the same down here. If you stay you will end up killing my brother or myself after we lose what makes us human." She whispered as she trailed off before she coughed a little.

Aelic understood where she was coming from, after all she did not know of his plan yet. However, it was not to be, so he was not worried. 'None shall fall, because none shall be down here again. This is the final Game.' He said simply, voice radiating an authority and surety rarely heard. 'Focus on the present Snow. Leave the future for the gods.' He then said gently with a small smile. The gods and me. He thought to himself, knowing that he would have to speak to Adalinda soon and progress the plan. Which means he would have to tell the others who he is and get them on board soon to. Oh joy!

"They will never end these games." Aelin sighed before she fell to her knees. "I should rest. Captain. Captain help me I fell." She called softly and Levi woke up and looked at.

"Did you make it around your cell?" He asked.

"Yeah twice. 21 is confused though." She lied and Levi nodded before getting out of bed and helping her back up and into her own hammock as best as he could given the bars.

" What's confusing you snake?" Levi groaned rubbing his eye as Aelin fell into a light sleep on her side looking innocent. Levi couldn't stop the failure of a smile caress his lips at the memory of her when she was young.

Aelic just smiled sadly. Yes, they will. He thought to himself, sad that Aelin would not believe him until it had happened but pleased that she didn't look as depressed as before. Talking with him had helped it seemed, whether the topic was pleasant or not. He smiled good morning at Levi when he woke up and rolled his eyes with fond exasperation at Aelin's obvious lie. He smiled fondly again as she slipped into sleep before turning to Levi, who also had a fond, if tired smile of his face. 'Nothing.' He said in response to his question, knowing that Aelin thought he was confused about the Games, but he was not. He just had more information than her. That was all.

"Huh you are the first to not ask why she was walkig around." Levi sighed watching Aelin. "Viola says Ada has something planned. I dont care about what it is but if this plan hurts the twins I will kill you." He threatened.

Aelic just shrugged. He hadn't really thought walking around was something to be questioned and so he didn't. At Levi's next sentence however, cold rage swept through him, stilling his actions and turning his snake eyes sharp and cold. How dare he!! Insolent fool! 'I would never consciously hurt the twins. They are my first and only friends. Our plan is dangerous, however they do not have to join us. Remember Levi, my care extends to more than just your family. If they come with me and are hurt, then that is on their own head. However, I would sooner chop of my own arm than harm them.' Aelic said coldly, once again showing his royal blood and upbringing with the cool authority in his voice and actions. None dare insult and threaten him!

"Don't talk to me like that snake. I don't care who you are I am just trying to protect them. I am saying if you ever hurt my twins with your own hands I will kill you. They get hurt in fights all the time I am used to it by now." Levi hissed and stood shocked as Aelin groaned loudly.

"Stop shouting. If you are going to shout atleast shout clearly." She groaned pulling herself into a tighter ball.

"Shhh sleep Snow. Sleep shhh." Levi whispered running his fingers through Aelins hair which Petra had taken out that morning. She groaned once more before she purred lightly and started to drift off.

'I understand you want to protect them, but insinuating that I would hurt them and thus insulting the one thing I hold dear - I doubt it will endear you to them.' He said simply and quietly, anger fading as he watched Aelin and Levi interact, love clear in his eyes as he watched her. 'Let us cease this argument for now. It will not do them any good.' He said sadly with a sigh, gaze roving over Aelin and Rowan.

Levi nodded slightly humming softly as Aelin slept before he pulled his hand away and fixed her coat over her body. "I know you would never try to hurt them but I dont trust Ada because I have never spoken to her. Ariel and Reagn are kind though and they have promised to take care of them as best as they can." He sighed befire yawning and laying down. "Wake me for breakfast snake."

'Ada raised me. She won't hurt them.' He said simply, more said in his silence than in his words. Aelic understood Levi's need for caution, he too felt it and so was not offended the spider did not trust Adalinda. He was pleased though that Levi now trusted him not to hurt the twins. Trust. It was a nice feeling. 'Goodnight.' He called softly to the older man before settling into his own watch, keeping a close eye on all of his friends through the night (or what he asumed was night because the amount of heat signatures wandering around decreased and it got cold). As the time went on he wandered around his cell, talking to Adalinda about the plan and stretching to keep up his flexibility and increase his strength. Eventually, Aelic felt people begin to move around again and after half an hour he recognised Erwin's heat signature approaching. Clicking his fingers he called to wake the others. 'Morning! Breakfast approaches!'

Rowan and Levi got up quickly and started to stretch working their worn joints as Erwin and petra walked down with breakfast for everyone. "Good morning guys how are we this morning?" Petra asked with a warm smile.

"Fine. Well as fine as we can all be Snow is still asleep." Levi shrugged.

"Yeah but thats understandable she did loose quite alot of blood. Can you wake her up? She needs to eat." Petra nodded in agreement. Levi shrugged and woke Aelin by shaking her shoulder and she groaned deeply.

"Go away." She mumbled.

"Snow we have food so wake up." Erwin commanded and she groaned befire sitting up slowly.

Aelic smiled a good morning at the others before flicking his gaze to the opening door and the two guards behind it. Petra was carrying a tray balanced with lots of different breakfast foods, a cheery smile on her face as usual. Erwin was carrying a basket of fruits, face blank as usual. He still creeped Aelic out at times.
As Petra got their breakfast ready, Aelic stretched and, running a hand through his long hair to brush it, went to the front of his cell to get the food allocated to him and his daily suppressant (something that didn't scare him nearly as much anymore, which was kinda worrying in its own right). He watched as Levi woke Aelin, the girl groaning and struggling to sit up. He wanted to let her sleep and regain her strength, as he knew the others did too, but he also knew that she needed food to have the energy to heal. Once they had had breakfast then she could go back to sleep. 'Good morning Snow.' He called to her, wanting to know just how awake she actually was right now (hey, don't knock it, some people can sleep sitting up).

Aelin groaned in response and rolled her neck. "Your looking stiff today Snow." Petra said handing the Levi his breakfast.

"Having Ariel in control had its toll yes." She sighed cracking her shoulders and elbows.

"That it does. Here Snow eat." Levi said passing the girl her food and Petra smiled.

"Oh and have some juice the sugars will help your body replace the blood that you lost." Petra said quickly grabbing the large glass and getting Levi to pass it to Aelin.

Aelic just smiled sadly at Aelin's groan, knowing how she was feeling. He was very glad then, when Levi and Petra organised her breakfast and got her to eat stuff that would be beneficial to her health. Knowing that she was being looked after he turned his attention to Rowan, watching as the other boy stretched and started to pick at the food in front of him. 'Good morning Huntsman. Did you sleep well?' He aaked the boy, wanting to make sure he was ok as well.

"As well as to be expected." He shrugged.

"Now what is that ment to mean?" Petra glared at Rowan who was completely unfazed but it.

"We are all in cages. We are not allowed to touvh those we hold dear and more importantly my sister looks like she went through a meat grinder." Rowan pointed out.

"I do not." Aelin snapped since she could not see the bruises and the cuts on her skin that Petra did not bind. She did look like she had walked to hell and back.

"Sorry Snow but you kinda do. I mean you are covered in bruises head to toe." Erwin chuckled and Levi shrugged.

"I'd say she looked like she walked to hell and back but thats just me." He sighed eating his breakfast.

Aelic's sharp eyes were trained on Rowan and heard all he left unsaid as well. The boy slept a little, but it was light and interrupted, fear for his sister waking him up in intervals. Aelic forced himself to ignore the 'cage' part of Rowan's sentence, knowing that if he let that train of thought continue it would end in a panic attack. Instead, he focused on Aelin, and the sad yet amusing conversation of the others. Aelin really did look like she had crawled back from hell. With a light chuckle he continued to listen to the others banter whilst eating his breakfast.

"Oh now you just leave her alone boys shes been through enough." Petra scowled making Rowan smirk.

"Oh but we get so little fun down here Petra let us have our fun." He smirked and Levi shook his head.

"No leave her be you would complain yourself Huntsman." Levi sighed

Aelic again just laughed, grinning mischievously. 'Tis just a observation, I'm sure Snow knows that. And anyway, if it was Huntsman who was black and blue, we'd be gagging him to stop the complaints.' He teased, knowing full well it wasn't true but having fun watching Rowans indignant face.

"Oh shush snake you couldn't even take one hit without crying like a girl." Rowan snapped in a playful manor.

"A big girl or a little girl?" Aelin asked with a smirk.

"What difference does it make?" Erwin asked looking confused.

"Little girls cry. Big girls cry and look like a mess afterwards. Its worse to cry like a big girl." Levi explained.

Aelic scowled playfully and faked a dramatic hurt face. 'Please! I don't cry like a little or big girl.....I cry like a grandmother.' He said with mock pride, before giggling like a child. 'Huntsman cries like a big girl.' He teased with a grin, dancing away from their connecting bars just in case.
'21!' Petra exclaimed, trying to be serious and reprimanding but evidently fighting back a grin.

"Oh please do you reallly see me crying like that?" Rowan mocked. "This life is simply so unfair to its young men. What ever shall we do?!" He sighed ending on a high note making Aelin smirk.

"The same thing the girls do dearest brother." She smirked.

"Lump it because we are strong independent women who don't need no man." Levi sassed with a chuckle.

Aelic just laughed even louder, loving this game. 'Damn straight!' He replied sassily, cocking one hip and flicking his hair over his shoulder dramatically.
Erwin and Petra just looked to each other with fond smiles and exasperated sighs. 'Come on guys. Finish your breakfast.'

Aelin who had already finished her breakfast and juice stood up and walked half way back to Petra before she crashed to the ground loudly. "Sister!" Rowan called as Petra opened her cell quickly and checked on the wounded girl.

"I'm fine I just got dizzy suddenly." Aelin mumbled holding her head with one hand and having the other firmly planted underneath her.

"You lost far too much blood Snow. Take it easy today Huntsman should be joining you later today if he's lucky." Levi said as he too finished his meal.

All the laughter was quickly sucked out of the dungeons and replaced by worry as Aelin suddenly crashed to the ground. Aelic had frozen for a split second, eyes wide with fear for his friend, before he ran forward to the front of his cell to better analyse the situation. He watched closely as Petra examined Aelin, quickly going through all the possible explanations and extrapolating the most plausible. His belief was then confirmed by both Aelin's and Levi's subsequent statements. Sighing in relief Aelic relaxed his hold on the cell bars, allowing the worry he had momentarily suppressed to slip away (never fully gone, but decreased at least). Knowing that Aelin was in good hands, Aelic went back to finish off his breakfast in contemplative silence.
Once Petra had assured them all that the girl had not done any more damage to herself, she gently helped her up onto her feet and guided her to the hammock in her cell. Erwin had moved closer to the door of the cell, ready to step in at a moments notice should Petra slip or something. 'Goodness. Whatever am I supposed to do with you guys? I'll have grey hair by the time I'm 40 at this rate!' He chastised gently, not bothering to hide her affection for these poor Cursed.

"You are 40." Levi stated as Aelin sat down in her hammock and Erwin opened Rowans cell allowing him into Aelins after Petra had left. Rowan walked in calmly and enveloped his sister in a loose hug as not to hurt her ribs and she simply leaned forward resting her head on his chest.

Petra just smiled gently at the display of love between the siblings before turning to the older Cursed and giving the two some privacy. 'You're not supposed to talk about a womans age 88!' She mock scolded as Erwin collected the now empty plates.
Aelic just quietly finished his breakfast then pushed his tray towards Erwins out stretched hand, eyes fixed on Rowan and Aelin. He could physical see them relax more in each others presence and was extremely grateful for this allowance.

"Tch what does it matter anyway I'll be dead by forty. The game master won't allow me to live." He shrugged as if it meant nothing at all.

"We won't allow ourselves to be the tools used for your death either Captain." Rowan said strenly and Aelin nodded.

"We won't kill you. The snake is dinner. You not so much I don't like the taste of spider." She sighed nuzzling into her brothers chest as he pulled her down to the ground so she did not have to keep her balance in that hammock anymore.

Aelic's eyes whipped to Levi and then back to the twins. He knew that they all believed they would not survive past the age of 40. And if they didn't escape it would be true. Though the fact that they had all so readily accepted their inevitable demise was sad and anger inducing none the less. And the fact that the guards would try to make the twins do it! It was despicable. Oh, how he hated those people.
Though he could do nothing about it now (and they would escape anyway) and so he pushed it out of his mind. Just in time to hear Aelin's comment. 'Hey!!! I'm nobody's dinner thank you very much!!' He said haughtly though with a smirk.
'Nobody is eating anybody!' Petra cried, ignoring the previous comments (she had nothing to refute them with).

"No we are not cause I am not moving. My sister feels like ice and the snake and spider are too far apart. I might need my coat to stay warm enough for her." Rowan said pulling Aelin closer as she started to fall asleep she had simply lost too much blood to fight it. Erwin nodded and tossed Rowans coat to the boy before Rowan pulled it on pulling it around Aelin as well.

"You know to call me if anything goes wrong we will be back with lunch later." Petra sang sweetly before she and Erwin left.

"My fangs you are hotter than hell fire sister." Rowan said taking off his coat and jacket and lifting Aelins to help cool her.

"Shhh sleepy." She mumbled curling into him as he wrapped his arms around her starting to sap away her excess heat.

Aelic just rolled his eyes and grinned, amused. Aelin herself was starting to doze off and Aelic knew that sleep was inevitable. He was glad that Rowan was there for her. As Petra and Erwin left he stood up again, stretching and starting to walk in circles around his cell, steps and breathing quiet to as not to disturb the injured girl. Though he couldn't help a quiet giggle as Aelin mummered and pulled Rowan closer. He was evidently absorbing the excess heat from her and unconsciously dissipating it, if his bright red ears were anything to go by. 'Being an ice block again Huntsman?' He teased softly, still walking around.

"Yep." He sighed. "It's good though she can heal faster or will atleast feel better later." He said nuzzling his nose into her hair as she slept.

"She went out fast. I guess she lost more blood than I thought." Levi frowned watching his twins as Rowan carefully moved to the brick wall and closer to Levi's cell whilst Aelin slept. "Just how hot is hell fire to you?"

"The dessert in the middle of the day in the hight of summer during a heat wave. It nearly killed sister if we couldn't burrow properly." Rowan explained softly as Aelins grip on his shirt relaxed.

Aelic nodded and smiled fondly as the twins cuddled. They were so cute like that! Although, as Levi said, she had lost a lot of blood, she would recover and that was the main thing. Having Rowan by her side would help immensely as well. Aelic frowned as he tried to imagine heat like that. He couldn't. 'Why were you in a desert? I thought they were inhospitable? Or at least, that's what my books said....' He commented confused, not understanding how a book could be wrong.

"We got lost whilst running for our lives. I was fine in the desert. Sister was not but at the same time we ended up in the montains in winter. I could barely see let alone stand without Sister there." Rowan explained watching his sister. "If we were alone we would not have survived. I would have frozen and she would have melted."

"Oh good metaphor for your Sister." Levi said watching Rowan who frowned.

"I wasn't using a metaphor." He frowned making Levi shake his head.

"You can't literally melt it is impossible." Levi explained making Rowan nod slowly in understanding.

'Ohhh...' Aelic said quietly in understanding, 'Two sides of the same coin you are indeed.'
Aelic stifled a chuckle at Rowan's confusion and Levi's exasperation. They could be so amusing at times. As his mind again went back to his earlier conundrum, he frowned before turning to Levi. Levi was smart, he would have an answer. 'But can they? Live there?' He asked before shaking his head and back tracking. 'Sorry, I mean, can people live in a desert?' He asked again, curious.
