[Pandabaking, Lieutenant Panda (Second in command)]

"We have both seen both forms of our guardians and for the fact of 'seeing' my sisters guardian it is hard. First we both have to be in the right state of mind and willing to talk to them but it has happened on several occasions." He shrug with a frown looking at her as she groaned and rubbed her head.

"Brother Regan is pestering me and it hurts my head." She complained rubbing her forehead.

"Is that you guardian Huntsman?" Erwin asked in his normal tone once again back to himself.

"Yes and they often like talking to sister something about her mind being able to handle it better than mine. They both said that she had to give something up to have that ability but it is useful when we are injured." Rowan explained as Aelin turned around getting up and walking around.

"Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. I am getting him there are people around what do you want me to do?" Aelin breathed angrily.

"Her sanity?" Levi offered and Petra giggled.

'I see...' Aelic said eagerly, smiling at the information. It was interesting indeed and Aelic wanted to know more. 'What sort of situations and state of mind?' He asked just at Aelin groaned, wrenching both of their attentions away. Regan huh! Yay, another name! As Rowan continued speaking Aelics eyes got wide again. Very interesting indeed!! So because of Aelins lack of sight, her other senses including that of her spirit/mind, have sharpened. Perhaps she has better control and access to the guardian spirits because of a lack of outside stimuli, leading to a more introspective soul. He mused to himself, uncaring of his analytical gaze. Aelic giggled with the others because it did seem that way for a bit, but soon he went back to gleefully staring at the twins like a science experiment (not that he knew that).

"Huntsman you had better go talk to your guardian before Snow White loses her mind completely." Levi said and Rowan quickly agreed before going to talk to Regan.

"In reference to the right state of mind. One of us is normally unconscious when we try to talk to both at the same time." Aelin sighed rubbing her temples.

"Does talking to them normally give you both a head ache?" Petra asked and Aelin shook her head slowly.

"No. It normally leaves us feeling better it's just because Regan was pestering me and they know just how to annoy me the best." Aelin sighed.

"Do you have to meditate to talk to them?" Erwin asked.

"Not all the time. When you trigger us we talk to them and we are anything but calm then." Levi stated with an even tone and neutral expression.

Aelic giggled again at Levi's words before turning his attention to Aelin. At her words he cocked his head to the side, intrigued. So the sheer amount of outside stimuli limits how much attention the mind can spend on talking to the gods. Being unconscious cuts this and allows the mind to focus fully on the spirit realm, allowing connection between one human and a multitude of gods instead of just one. Fascinating! Aelic thought grinning sharply. Perhaps he should try it next time he was unconscious. He giggled again at the thought of Regan pestering Aelin. Whilst the White Snake very rarely does that sort of thing, she has once or twice so he knows the ache that accompanies it. It was harmless and would disappear soon. He sobered again when Levi spoke of the connection between a triggered Cursed and their guardian. Aelic himself has never been triggered fully but has come close, and he felt the White Snake even more then as she tried to protect her charge. The triggering was probably similar. 'They will do anything to protect us.' He said simply.

"Why though. You all get sent here and many of you die at the hands of other cursed before you die of age." Erwin asked looking at them.

"If a horse went wild and charged at a child would you help the child or let it get trampled?" Levi asked.

"Of course I would help a child." Erwin stated.

"What if your child was lost in the woods. Would you ever stop looking for it?" Levi asked again.

"I would tear the forest down looking for my child." Erwin stated looking confused.

"That is how the guardians feel about us. We are their children. We are also their windows into this plane. They see this world through us. They protect us because they want us to survive." Levi explained looking dead ahead as Aelin agreed silently.

"So why don't the harmless ever get controlled by their guardians?" Petra asked and Levi frowned.

"Most of them have one trait of their guardian so the link isn't that strong. The more like the animal the stronger the connection. You can sometimes see when they lose control in the fights against us as they begin to lose the fight and in a last ditch attempt to survive they lose control. Though many of the guardians with harmless cursed know their child looks almost human like captain believe that they can survive without much help." Aelin explained with a shrug as Rowan came back rubbing his head.

Aelic watched the conversation, knowing where Levi was heading and smirking slightly, impressed at the way the spider convinced the human. He nodded in sync with Aelin, showing their agreement for it was the truth. They are the children of the gods and parents protect their children, no matter what. He nodded again in response to Aelin's words also. 'You must also remember that the harmless Cursed are called harmless for a reason. Their guardian cannot fight and thus, even if they did manage to take control, probably wouldn't be of much help.' He said, feeling a swell of pity for the guardian spirits who are in that position. Having to watch but being unable to help must be terrible.

"Oh I see." Petra smiled clapping her hands together. And the twins nodded.

"It also comes down to physical ability. If you trigger the snake he would probably just sit still and try to bite you since he doesn't know how to fight. The rest of us on the other hand can fight so our guardians can use that ability in their favour." Rowan explained

'Indeed.' Aelic said casually with a smirk. 'Neither I, nor the animal to which I am bound, have much physical prowess. We are ambush predators only. Whilst my venom is potent enough the fell a grown man in 30 seconds, in a fight of strength I am more than useless. The twins however are just the opposite. They rely on strength to overcome their prey and thus, are expert fighters. Our guardians know this and use our abilities to our advantage in a fight.' Aelic said, unconsciously running his tongue along his extended fangs as old memories flashed before his eyes of a nameless guard, a branding iron, and flesh beneath his fangs.

"Nice tell me do you have one or two types of venom?" Levi asked.

"Wait you have two types of venom?" Petra asked and Levi nodded.

"The suppressant you use on me works for both do don't worry." He said raising his hand in the stop sign.

Aelic smiled and shook his head. 'Just one type. What types of venom do you possess?' He asked curiously. He had read before that some spiders had two types of venom but other than that, he did not know anything else (e.g. What species or what the venom does). For himself, whether it was for prey or protection, all who were pierced by his fangs died. It was interesting that that wasn't also the case for spiders.

"The first one I use for prey. It helps to break down your insides so I can suck them up much easier." Levi grinned wickedly making Erwin and Petra squirm. "The second one I use for threats. It's designed to stop you coming near me and keep others away by burning. It doesn't dissolve you it just burns like hell fire as you die from it all of which takes 20 seconds." Levi explained darkly and Petra and Erwin got up leaving.

"We have to go we have things to do." Petra smiled before hurrying out making the champions smirk.

"They do hate to hear about you eating people's insides." Aelin nodded.

Aelic nodded and grinned slightly at the humans uncomfortable fidgeting. The two types of venom now made sense. Levi needed his food to be liquid and so, he needed a type of venom that would do that. His venom for protection however had no need to liquefy the people injected and so, didn't. He needed two types. Aelic on the other hand didn't need to prepare his food in a special way, so he only had one type. He would have liked to compare the differences between his own venom and Levi's protection venom but was interrupted by Petra before he could ask. Aelic scoffed a little as they left and rolled his eyes. 'You would think they worked in a toy factory or something, not this prison.' He said, smirking.

"Yes it is weird though. They can watch us tear a man to shreds but the second Captain starts talking about drinking someone they can't stomach it." Aelin shrugged before standing up. "What did Regan have to say?"

"I got an ear full about how I should be protecting you and not letting you do all the fighting." Rowan sighed.

"Ariel gave me an earful about being foolish and naive whatever that means." Aelin sighed rubbing her forehead. "Then Regan started demanding to talk to you."

"Yeah we heard that part of the conversation." Levi smirked and Aelin turned to him.

"Really again?" She asked and he hummed in agreement.

Aelic laughed and shrugged to before turning his attention to Rowan. Listening to them talk gave him a warm feeling in his chest and, despite their surroundings, he laughed again. 'Do you often vocalise your thoughts Snow?' He asked teasingly, mirth dancing in his eyes as he again pictured Rowan and Aelin being scolded by their guardians.

"Shut up snake I can't control it." She snapped and Rowan put his hand on her shoulder.

"Be glad we are over here because one of us would have hit you by now." Rowan dead panned.

"21 would just sit on the other side of his cell. He isn't stupid." Levi countered no Rowan trout for a moment before nodding in agreement.

"Sometimes when our guardians talk to me I slip out of their realm and into this one but since I can't tell the difference at first I act as if I am still with them." Aelin explained softly.

Aelic raised his eyebrows and tried in vain to conceal his smirk. You would have hit me huh? Uh huh, sure you would, Aelic thought to himself. He grinned fully when Levi spoke and Rowan eventually conceded. It seemed Levi knew him almost as well as the twins did! Softening, he gently spoke to Aelin, though did nothing to hide his smile. He was still amused but recognised that they had taken it a little to seriously. 'Peace Snow. I meant no disrespect. I was only teasing.'

"I don't like this teasing of yours. It confuses me." She muttered and Levi sighed.

"If you two had even the slightest normal childhood you would be teasing us for being in a cell even though you are in one yourself." He explained and and the twins nodded slowly.

"I still don't like it." Aelin replied coldly and Levi shrugged.

"So you have two types of venom?" Rowan asked changing the subject.

"Yep."

"And the suppressant works on both."

"Yeah."

"Do you know when you are using one or the other?"

"Of course."

"Can you choose which one you use?"

"I can actually it isn't that hard." Levi shrugged and Rowan nodded.

Aelic's face fell and his amusement quickly morphed into annoyance. He knew logically that it wasn't the twins fault but that didn't stop him from feeling annoyed and put out. A quarter of his personality was teasing and clever remarks! He sighed, trying to smother his feelings and was silently glad when Rowan quickly changed the subject. To him the answers to the questions were obvious but the last one did get him thinking. 'How?' He asked, before realising he probably needed to elaborate. 'Do you have two separate venom glands? Do you consciously need to close off one and open the other?' He asked curious. previous annoyance forgotten.

"I'm not entirely sure if I have two sparate glands. I should really ask Viola she would know." Levi sighed running his hand through his hair as the twins sat down next to each other Aelin leaning on Rowans shoulder. "I just think about which venom I want and it changes automatically."

"Oh yay the spider is extra deadly. He can burn me and dissolve my sister." Rowan said sarcastically. "Does that count a teasing?"

"No that's sarcasm." Levi stated. "21 can explain it because you would understand him sooner than you would understand me."

Aelic just nodded and hoped that when Levi asked, he would relay that answer to him (he was curious). Aelic laughed softly at the sarcasm in Rowans words but soon cut it off as he stared at Levi and fumbled for words to explain sarcasm. How do you explain sarcasm! Biting his lip in silence he organised his thoughts and tried as best he could to explain it. 'Sarcasm is...when you mean the opposite of what you say. Its usually intended as a mock or insult. Like..umm...what you just said. You said 'oh yay' which is usually for something exciting but you aren't actually excited about it....Does that make sense?' He asked, frowning and biting his lip as he tried to come up with another way to explain it.

Rowan frowned slightly as Aelin nodded sluggishly before Rowan spoke again. "So it is like saying. I like being triggered but we all know that I hate it?" He asked in a regular tone

'Yeah! But you have to say it in a specific tone of voice so others know you are being sarcastic. That sort of drawling tone you used before.' Aelic responded happily, pleased that his explanation was understandable. He then looked at Levi and silently encouraged him to say something sarcastic as an example.

"Oh joy of Joys we are locked in our cells. I have been looking forward to this all year." Levi said sarcastically with a flourish of his hand.

"I think I understand." Rowan nodded slowly as Levi frowned.

"Is she?"

"Yep. It's good for her though she wouldn't have slept well last night." Rowan answered shifting so Aelin was more on his chest as she snoozed on her brother listening to his heart beat.

'Yes, like that!' Aelic said quietly with a smile, having also noticed the sleeping Aelin. His gaze softened as he looked at her, seeing how care free she looked sleeping. He hoped that in time, she would look that way when she was awake also. 'Did you sleep well Huntsman?' He asked simply, disbelief evident in the undercurrent of his voice. Aelic would happily stay quiet and allow the twins to sleep and regain their strength.

"I slept well enough." Rowan said trying to contain a slight yawn.

"Yeah none of us slept well. Huntsman sleep now so you are well rested for the next few days. Who knows what will happen in her next fight." Levi stated as Rowan yawned into the back of his hand.

"I don't need to sleep well to keep her safe I just need to stay awake long enough for her." Rowan sighed not that what he said made no sense at all.

"So you didn't sleep at all last night. Huntsman sleep now." Levi said but Rowan had already fallen asleep craddling his sister in his arms. "Out like a light." Levi sighed

Aelic smiled softly as Rowan slipped into sleep. The boy had been fighting a losing battle and Aelic was glad he finally got the rest he needed. Turning his gaze on Levi, he watched as the elder man's eyes dropped closed before he forced open once again. 'Heed your own words Captain. Sleep. I shall keep watch.' Aelic told the spider softly, knowing that he too will have to fight in the up coming days and thus, should conserve his strength.

Levi grunted a response rubbing his eye with the ball of his hand before laying down in his hammock and taking a nap.

Aelic rolled his eyes at Levi's response (or lack of it), but smiled when the man lay down to sleep. Stretching and walking around his cell to keep active, he settled in to watch over his sleeping companions. Hours passed and the others slept. They must have been more exhausted than they let on! Aelic thought to himself with a smirk as he finished up his last stretch with a sigh. He had walked around his cell (in a very familiar pattern) to keep active and then went through all the stretches he knew, but now sat in his corner with nothing to do. Aelic wished he had a book with him to keep the boredom at bay, but alas, that was not the case. Instead he kept his senses open and tried to stretch how far away he could sense heat signatures. The distance was something he was sure would get larger as he got older, but stretching it every now and again never hurt. It was because of this that he caught the commotion that was going on upstairs. Guards were running around outside in the gardens, though why, he had no idea. Watching them for a while was entertaining, but it soon died down and they went back to their normal routines. Tired, Aelic yawned and rubbed his forehead, ignoring the slight headache that came with over stretching. Petra appeared at the edge of his senses, walking towards them purposefully. With a sigh, Aelic clicked his fingers to awaken the others.

Aelin groaned waking up before growling tiredly making the boys jump and sit up as she yawned rubbing her eyes with the back of her hand as Petra walked in passing small cloth bundles of food and passed it to the champions through the bars. Rowan got up and grabbed both packages for his sister and himself. "Why do you and Captain always get Snows food for her? I am sure she could get it herself." Petra asked and Levi shrugged as Rowans shoulders stiffened.

"I've been teaching Huntsman manners and it is polite to get a lady her food." He brushed off before opening the bundle and eating the sandwich within.

Aelic watched as the others slowly awakened in time for Petra to walk through the doors with lunch? in her hands. He nodded his thanks at the woman as the food was slipped through the bars and with a smile, began to unwrap his prize. The only outward sign that Aelic had heard Petra's innocent question was the slight stiffening of his spine and twitching of his fingers. Otherwise, he continued as if he had no cares in the world. Out of the corner of his eye he watched as Rowan's shoulders stiffened, whilst Levi seemed completely unaffected. Aelic felt himself relax once more as Levi deftly covered for the twins, immensely glad that the spider has had so long to perfect the art of lying and making-stuff-up. 'Petra, may I ask what our filling is today?' Aelic said pleasantly, to try and street the conversation away from dangerous waters.

"Well Snow has Egg and lettuce. Huntsman has tuna and Captain has ham cheese and tomato. I gave you ham and salad as I didn't know what you like." Petra said with a smile as everyone ate their sandwiches. "Oh I also bought a bag of oranges and grapefruit for you all." She said holding up the bag and Aelin nodded.

"I do like a nice pink grapefruit." She mused and Rowan pulled a disgusted face.

"I don't care for them I much prefer oranges." He said with a nod and Levi smirked lightly.

"I don't really care as long as they are soft or I can suck up the juice." He chuckled and Petra sighed.

"Only children suck the juice out of fruit you should eat the flesh it's good for you." She said lightly hitting Levi's arm as he moved forward to grab some fruit.

Aelic smiled happily, liking what was put in his sandwich and just happy that the woman thought about their individual preferences. He dug into his sandwich and watched the bag of fruit with childish wonder. He had never seen a grapefruit before. His brother, the Crown Prince, was allergic to them and so, there was no grapefruits in the New Palace. His eyes widened with astonishment further when Petra chided Levi for not eating the flesh of the fruits. 'Really?!' He asked curiously, trying to think if he had ever read that before.

"Yeah it's full of fibre and good vitamins which will be good for you all especially since the only sunlight is from that one tiny high window up there." Petra smiled pointing at the window and Levi sighed.

"Fine give me the fruit I'll try to eat it normally." He sighed taking an orange as Petra handed Aelin a Grapefruit. Aelin smelt it with a soft smile and cut into it with her long claws getting at the soft flesh beneath the thick pith.

Aelic nodded, smiling happily at this new bit of information. He would see if he could read up on it further when he got back upstairs. He looked at the grapefruit and giggled when he say its pink insides. Who knew a fruit could be pink! 'May...may I have a grapefruit?' He asked, suddenly shy, unsure whether or not he would be allowed.

"Yeah sure. Snow can you cut into this for him?" Petra asked as Aelin was half way through eating her Grapefruit.

"Here let me hold yours for you." Rowan said taking the fruit off Aelin who sighed wiping her face with her hand and taking the Grapefruit off Petra and cut down to the flesh before curling one of her fingers round and peeling back the thick pith. This allowed her to both feel the flesh and cut away the bitter pith. She had soon peeled back half the skin and pith.

"Have you ever had citrus before?" She asked before she had reached half way.

Shyness erased by Petra's agreement, he smiled happily and watched as Aelin cut his grapefruit for him. 'Lemons, oranges and limes yeah, but not grapefruits unfortunately. Adalric was allergic.' He said casually. It took a few seconds but once Aelic registered what he had said, he froze, entire body tense and face unconsciously slipping into his cold mask. Please don't recognise the name, please don't recognise the name...he chanted internally, thin vertical pupils becoming mere slits in his almost panic.

Levi shrugged and acted as if he didn't hear what was said.

"Hm?" Petra asked taking the fruit from Aelin who's hands were dripping with juice as both twins frowned.

"If you can eat oranges and other citrus you should be able to eat Grapefruit." Aelin frowned as Rowan passed Aelin her grapefruit.

"I don't like them I find the favour isn't as nice most people eat them with sugar but Snow likes them the way they are." Rowan said with a frown and Aelin looked hurt.

"I love Grapefruit they arn't normally as sweet as oranges but these pink ones are much better than the other kind of grapefruit." She defended whole heartedly.

"The kids do love to pick the fruits one even gave one to Snow once with a smile." Petra giggled.

"Yeah that kid was weird she giggled at me, gave me the fruit and ran off." She shrugged finishing the grapefruit. "Can I have another?" She asked and Petra gave Aelin another Grapefruit.

Aelic slowly began to relax when he realised the others hadn't picked up on his slip (or in Levi's case, just ignored it). Phew! That was close. Stupid Aelic! He thought to himself, before forcing himself to banish the thoughts and relax fully, lest they pick up on his tension. He smiled more naturally as the argued about the best way to eat grapefruit and eventually hummed in a vague agreement as the others chatted, happy once more. For now he would try it plain, but perhaps later he could try the fruit with some sugar. Aelic giggled at the thought of the weird child and smiled up at Petra as she passed him the peeled fruit. He studied it for a bit but seeing the weird look the human directed towards him, eventually shrugged and just ate it. Wow! 'Now that's a weird flavour!' He said out loud, surprised briefly at both the taste and that he spoke.

"It's different but it's nice right?" Aelin asked and Levi nodded slowly.

"You two are so weird one second you are inseparable. You can tell each other apart in some aspects but yet you turn around and a polar opposites." Levi said sounding in disbelief.

"Well we are brother and sister not one person." Rowan shrugged finishing his orange which peeled much easier than a grapefruit.

"I will give you one thing about the oranges Brother and that is they are easier to peel that's it. Do you have any mandarins Petra?" She asked as she finished peeling the fruit and breaking it apart handing some to Levi who took it and ate it quietly.

"I'm saving them for tomorrow. I know that you two both love mandarins over oranges and grapefruit." Petra smiled softly.

Aelic thought a moment before nodding. The taste was different, but not bad. It would probably taste nicer with sugar, but by itself was fine too. Finishing off his grapefruit he listened to the other chat, smiling. He understood why Levi said what he did, the twins are so similar that it can sometimes be a bit jarring when they don't like opposite stuff. But they are too separate people, no matter how similar and connected they are. In Aelic's opinion, that just made them infinitely more interesting. Smiling again at his friends he quietly asked Petra for an orange. He took a mental note of all their favourite fruits as he ate his orange, occasionally completely pulling apart the segment and eating it tiny bit by bit. Full and happy, Aelic could feel sleep pulling at the edges of his consciousness. Unwilling he fell into a light doze, orange and grapefruit skins making a neat pile at his side.

"Sleepy snake." Aelin muttered and Petra giggled lightly.

"he did take the night watch and the watch whilst we all took a nap." Levi defended.

"I was just making and observation Captain. Nothing more." Aelin said in matter of factly tone.

"Do you even remember last night?" Rowan asked.

"Pfft No." Aelin said casually with a swing of her hand.

Aelic was soundly asleep, oblivious to his friends conversation and the world around him. He wasn't however, alone. The White Snake goddess wrapped around his mind, entering his dreams and speaking softly to her child. They had always been able to communicate, whether Aelic was conscious or not, and so this was completely normal for him. Her message however was not. He had long been told by the White Snake goddess that her name was a secret, only to be told to a special few. Aelic had abided by her request and had told no one the name of his guardian. He had expected that he would never tell anyone and so, was pleasantly surprised when she told him that Aelin, Rowan and Levi were ones who had been extended that privilege. Smiling he nodded and as she retreated nudged him towards wakefulness.

"I don't understand why you don't remember last night Snow." Petra stated sounding completely confused.

"We automatically supress the fights so we don't remember the faces of the people we have killed." Levi explained

"It's why we are so different after a fight because we separate who we are in order to try and keep our sanity." Rowan shrugged.

"And thus I don't remember anything that happened last night though I think someone washed the blood from my hands and face." Aelin shrugged.

"I did. I cleaned you up slightly." Petra smiled softly and Aelin nodded a thanks.

Aelic woke slowly, vaguely hearing the last sentence. Blinking his eyes sluggishly he curled in on himself to preserve warmth. 'Red Snow. Like a Daphne flower.' He murmured sleepily, yawning. 'Or....or a Luculia.' He smiled to himself, in that weird happy mood when you are sleepy and comfortable.

"What now?" Aelin asked looking confused.

"They are flowers." Levi explained.

"We probably know the bloom just not its name." Rowan shrugged and Petra giggled.

"I sometimes that you two traveled around." Petra smiled.

Aelic had always been a slow waker and the cold of the cell wasn't helping, but he was present enough to register the others words and respond (even if said response was not as articulate as usual). 'They have travelled so far. Long hard journeys to see amazing things.' He smiled sleepily again, thinking of the sea. 'Seas and flowers and dancers and...and...lots of things.'

"Did he drink his own venom or something?" Petra asked looking confused and worried about the snake.

"Nah he's fine he just hates the cold." Aelin shrugged waving her hand.

"Oh that reminds me I'm making coats for you three. Should I make one for 21 as well?" Petra asked and Levi shrugged.

"It may help him it may not. He could probably use one of the twins coats if it's that cold. They hold heat better than anyone." He said cleaning his nails.

"It's not our faults that we are covered in fur." Rowan defended.

As they spoke Aelic finally woke up fully, sitting up and stretching, eyes sharpening. Smiling at Petra for her thoughtful actions, he responded through a yawn. 'I admit, if they twins allow it I would probably use their coats for the reasons explained by 88. However, I cannot be with them all the time and see no reason why an extra coat would be amiss. I would love one. Thank you Petra.'

Petra nodded with a smile. "I'll have to take your measurements when you go for a shower but I should have it ready in a few days. I can bring down the other coats at dinner." She said before leaving taking the scraps and cloth.

"I have a feeling that this coat is going to be apart of this." Levi said gesturing to himself.

"I am not having a coat sewn to me!" Rowan shouted and Levi face palmed.

"Apart of the costume Huntsman. Calm down." Levi explained.

Aelic nodded at the woman and smiled as she left. Petra was nice, he liked her very much. It was a comfort to have a friendly face among enemies (humans that is). Aelic burst out laughing at Rowans enraged words, tears pricking at his eyes. Oh that boy came up with the most ridiculous ideas at times! 'Why in Keras would they want to sew a coat to you?! That would be a torturous experience even for you Huntsman, and an awful inconvenience don't you think!' He said through peals of laughter, wiping at his eyes with a grin.
