"I guess your right." Rowan sighed as yet more guards came before taking him away leaving the snake alone in his lonely cell.

Aelic sighed and nodded goodbye to Rowan as he was taken away. He paced around his cell for a few moments, waiting for the inevitable. And hey look, its like I'm physic! He thought to himself half hysterically as two more guards appeared. He was almost grateful when the guards unlocked his door and chained his wrists together, having them here was keeping the panic attack at bay. They tugged on the chain and led him out.

Some time had passed since Levi was taken by the guards and they had not lied to him completely. They did infact get his clothes re fitted so he could fight better and his knuckles were bound to protect them. They led him down into a different entrance from the usual one where he met up with Aelin. Her bandages had been changed and her knuckles bound much like Levi's had. "Fancy seeing you here." He remarked making the girl roll her eyes before she frowned. "What is it?"

"Brother and the Snake smell closer than they should be." She frowned before the gate was pulled up and the two were pushed forward by the guards behind them.

"This is horrible." Levi breathed for once thankful that Aelin had been born blind for she could not see what was infront of them.

Aelic and Rowan were indeed much closer than their cells. In fact, they were currently in the arena itself. Chained to two metal stakes. Oh joy! The guards hadn't wasted any time when collecting them. Rowan and he were dragged to one side of the arena where tall, thick metal poles had been inserted into the ground. They were forced to sit and then the chains connected to their wrist cuffs were threaded through a hole in the pole above their heads. This pulled their arms above their heads in an uncomfortable position whilst also making it extremely difficult to escape. The guards evidently didn't want to take any chances, because they also put a chain around their stomachs and cuffed and chained their ankles together, just like their arms. Aelic knew immediately that he wouldn't be able to escape and so stayed quiet and still, his cold snake eyes promising death to everyone he looked at. However, that didn't stop him from trying to slowly inch his hands out of the cuffs (hey, he was small! It might work- it wasn't but he kept trying). The guards had only just left a few moments ago when more guards started trickling in. And hey look, there was their old friend the Game Master! 'I would love to gouge out his eyes.' Aelic hissed to Rowan as the Game Master approached with a smirk on his face.

"You might have to get in line for that one Snake." Rowan growled pulling at the chains on his wrists till he saw Aelin and Levi then he stopped and stood still watching waiting.

"Captain what do you see?" Aelin asked putting a hand on Levi's shoulder and the man sighed.

"Welcome Snow White and Captain to your final match for the year." The game master boomed making the girl wince slightly at the noise. "Ladies and Gentleman I have some horrible news. Our Queen is blind in this match but fret not for she has been practicing to keep her dearest Huntsman safe." He called and the crowd ooooed and aahhed that the statement.

"Thats so sweet." Some of them cried.

"So my highness I shall explain to you what is right infront of your very eyes. Your Brother and Snake are chained to metal posts by their wrists and ankles so they can not move very much. Why look Ladies and Gentleman. Look at how he stares at his sister in disbelief." The Game Master mocked making Aelin and Levi curl their hands int tight fists.

"Yes Sir you are very funny but what is our challenge I want this to be over so I can get properly clean." Levi scoffed watching the man who gave an evil grin like no other.

"The same as always Captain fight the others to see who comes out on top. Just you and Snow White verses 10 other cursed children all wishing for freedom." The Game Master sarcastically remarked. "Oh did I forget to mention that you also have to protect 21 and Huntsman during the fight as well if you don't want them to die." He tossed in as if it were not important at all.

"Bring it on Game Master we are not afraid to lay down our lives for each other though not much could be said for you." Aelin smirked knowing her answer would make him mad though there was little he could do at this point.

"Our Queen Ladies and Gentlemen. Let the final match begin." The Game Master called and with a wave of his hand the gates opened and out came ten cursed with varying weapons. From a crossbow to swords and Maces. Each child had a different weapon and Levi knew which weapon he wanted. Two simple swords held onto a tall strong looking child.

"Two bears, A rabbit, Two birds. Three reptiles. A dog and a sea creature." Aelin muttered and Levi nodded tapping her hand so she knew he got the message before they started to run to protect their friends and family and most importanly each other.

Aelic hissed in agreement before he too saw Aelin and Levi. He forced himself to relax, knowing that the more stressed Rowan and he were, the harder this would be on their friends. He watched the Game Master as he paced and delivered his speech with a sadistic grin. Oh that man was evil. That was a definite. Aelic grinned savagely at his friends responses, seeing the Game Masters fingers twitch and knowing it had annoyed him. Then, finally, it was time. The opponent Cursed were lead in and Aelic speedily analysed them all (just like he had for every previous fight/his entire life). This fight would be hard, really really hard. Especially protecting Rowan and him. However Aelic belived they would win. He had to belive it. Please, whatever gods are listening, keep them safe! He prayed quickly, before glueing his eyes to the fight in front of him. It had begun.

Levi quickly took down the child with the crossbow knowing that it would be harmful to both Snow and the boys but first blood was not his as Aelin had alreafy gutted two of the reptiles as they had attacjed her at the same time. Levi had known watching her fight without having to put on a show making it look like she could see would be different but this was more differebt than he had imagined. "Snow! Get the Sea creature its after Huntsman!!" Levi shouted making Aelin jump backwards towards her brother and Aelic.

"Sister back flip!" Rowan shouted and Aelin jimped just missing the child with the mace who had swung at her and she landed between the boys.

"Hello boys." She panted before she killed the sea creature but not before it had caught her ribcage. Rowan cringed as he heard his sisters ribs break and she panted harder.

"Be careful." He called as she ran off again.

Aelic watched, eyes flying, scanning, calculating, predicting, hoping beyond hope that this went well. Thank god Levi was smart; he immediately took down the one Aelic had categorised as the biggest threat (because of his weapon). And Aelin had already taken down another two. However, he didn't have time to see who they were because one of the opponent Cursed was running towards them, hatred filled eyes locked on Rowan. Levi was fighting and he couldn't get to them but luckily he alerted Aelin and she jumped towards them. Unable to help himself, he scoffed with laughter at Aelin's gauntly hello, before cringing as the other Cursed broke her ribs. Oh dear. As she ran off he quickly scanned Rowan to make sure he wasn't harmed, then focused back on the fight.

Levi and Aelin took down another three cursed leaving the two bears and the dog left. Levi gave a sharp whistle after he had picked up the swords and ran towards Aelin who dispite her injuries which were coming in hard and fast for the poor girl grabbed Levi and threw him high into the air so he could reach the tall rafters. Aelin panted on the ground holding her ribs before Levi jumped down grabbed her and sprung back into the rafters so she could catch her breath before he cut down one of the bear children and the dog. Once he got back up he had upset Aelins balance and she fell backwards towards the ground.

"Mikasa!!!" Levi shouted in worry watching as his little girl fell.

Rowan and Aelic watched helplessly as their friends fought. Rowan still gave the occasional growl and tugged on his chains and Aelic was still trying to slip his hands out of the cuffs, but both were quickly realising that it was futile. The guards had been very careful. Levi and Aelin were good fighters but against this many people, it was a hard battle. And Aelin, injured and down one key sense, was bearing the brunt of the attacks and thus, injuries. This entire fight Aelic's only emotions consisted of fear and intense worry. He tried to push them away and analyse logically, but every time one of them were injured his emotions would strike him like lighting before he could quickly repress them again. The ground was soaked with blood and he and Rowan were splattered with it, but neither of them paired it any attention. Aelic gasped when Aelin threw Levi into the rafters and then breathed out again when Levi came back down and collected the fox. At least none of the other Cursed would be able to get up there, it would give Aelin and Levi a refuge to breathe. And for a fox, she looked so natural up in high heights. However, she was injured and Levi's return upset her already precarious balance. Aelic's eyes widened and he froze, not breathing, watching in horror as Aelin fell. No!!!!!!! He screamed in his mind, unable to voice it.

Aelin hit the ground hard groaning at the pain in her back and shoulder. The bear child that remain walked over to her and loomed over her before punching her in the face and breaking her nose. She punched back with force and broke her own hand. She then moved away from him checking her own injuries as Levi came down and attacked the child who dodged a few of Levis blows and knocked the swords out of the spiders hands. Levi went to his denfsive stance and took some blows one of which had dislocated his shoulder before the child picked him up and smashed Levi's back against his knee. Levi screamed in pain as the child let go and Levi crawled away before the child stomped on Levis knee dislocating the joint. Aelin quickly rushed over and grabbed Levi moving him away as the child moved towards Rowan and Aelic. Aelin ran panting hard due to the pain she was in before she jumped on the childs back and bit his shoulder hard and clawing down his back. By doing this she broke more claws reducing her already low supply before the child managed to pull her off his back and dislocate her knee but then Ariel came in.

"You had your chance child now you face a god." He whispered making the child looked confused and dispite the injuries that Aelin already had clawed and bit the bear down. Ariel saw Levi laying on the ground who had passed out due to the pain his was in and hobbled over to him letting go of Aelin but leaving her animal instincts behind. The match was over the game won and now the guards moved in to free Rowan and Aelic and help Aelin and Levi. Aelin growled over Levis body holding one arm close to her and one leg only just resting on the ground. Some of the guards tried to carefully remove Levi as to get him help and calm down Aelin but it wasn't working. They moved to their last resort and one guard smashed the sheild he held against Aelins head till she passed out.

"Sister!!!!" Rowan screamed as some guards pulled him away. "Let me go my sister. Shes hurt i have to help." He growled trying to break the guards iron grip but not getting very far. He watched as the guards muzzled both Levi and Aelin just incase they touched Levi's fangs or either of them woke up and bit someone before the bought in two stretchers. They picked up Levi first since they had move Aelin off of the spider and took him away. They soon picked up Aelin and took her away as they muzzled Rowan and Aelic before giving Aelic an injection into the base of his neck and the boy passed out.

Aelic watched all this in horror, unaware of the tears streaming down his face and the fact that his fangs had pierced his lip. He had tried to stay detached, tried to stay analytical and cold, but in that one moment, when Aelin fell, his defences were stripped away. And without his defences, he couldn't repress his emotions as Aelin and Levi were injured severely within the space of a few seconds. As Aelin dragged Levi over to Rowan and himself, Aelic pulled on the cuffs just like Rowan, slicing into his wrists. He knew it was useless but his friends were dying right in front of him and he had to try (even over the protests of Adalinda, who tried to stop him). Finally the game was over. Thanks to Ariel's help, Aelin and Levi had won (if just barely). However, Aelic couldn't relax. Aelin's animal instincts had taken over and she wasn't letting the guards help them. He wanted to shout at the guards to let Rowan and he deal with this but they didn't even wait before just smashing her on the head. Aelic couldn't shout, his voice had deserted him, but he hissed angrily and snapped at the guard that was trying to get near him. They moved Aelin and Levi first, keeping Rowan and he chained. It was a smart move, Rowan and he were uninjured and angry. Who knows what they may have done. Now that it was just the two of them however, the guards had no issues with surrounding them and forcing muzzles on them. Aelic kept trying to bite them, hissing his anger but eventually the guards got tired and in one swift move, injected him with something and he passed out.
Waking up after that was a chore, the drug pulling at his consciousness and trying to make him sleep, but Aelic resisted. When he was finally able to open his eyes, the sight that he saw made him relax for the first time in weeks. No bars. He was back in his room, in his bed. He was out of that cell! Hurray!! Wait..... Aelic thought, something not feeling right. Then in a flash, what happened in the last fight came back to him and he was off the bed and out of his door in three seconds flat. He skidded to a stop in front of Aelin and Rowan's door and, finding the door unlocked, raced inside.

When Aelic awoke he wasn't where he had fallen asleep. Gone was his padded bed and fluffy pillows. All he could feel was a cold hard surface and silence. Where was he?! For some reason the boy was finding it much harder than usual to wake up. Something kept trying to drag him back down into the black comforts of unconsciousness, but he resisted. He hadn't even opened his eyes yet for goodness sake! Finally, the snake managed to crack open his eyes, trying to ignore the growing feeling unease (read terror). I'm on a floor. Was his groggy thoughts, as uncooperative arms failed to push him upright. It took him a while, but again he finally got there. At this point, although his body's reactions were still slow, his mind was fully aware. He almost wished it was the other way around. Because, when he finally looked up, his breath and heart stuttered at the sight of stone walls......and bars.

Bars. There was bars. I'm back in the dungeons. Aelic thought in a panic. With wide eyes and breath stuck in his throat, the boy shot up to a standing position and frantically looked around. No one. No....No....NO!!! Aelic was completely unaware as his breathing became laboured and erratic.

He was in a cell. In the dark. Alone. Again.

His normally pale face drained of any blood and his thin snake pupils went narrow in terror. Aelic was completely unaware of the shrill whine that escaped his throat and the fact that he had now completely stopped breathing. Terror was now all he knew. Staggering back to the corner, Aelic slipped down the wall until he was sitting on the floor, knees pulled tight to his chest, arms wrapped around himself. Not again. Not again. He thought to himself, eyes flicking around erratically and only seeing bars. He hated bars. That meant he was imprisoned again. But most of all. It was dark. And he was alone. 'I thought I escaped. I thought I escaped.' He whispered to himself over and over again, mind now completely immersed in memories. He had always hated his cell, with its bars and solitude. But at the time, although it made him sad, he could force himself to accept it. But now, after having tasted life outside the bars, life without loneliness. It was killing him. To give him a taste of hope and take it away. It was worse than death. Head tucked away from the evil sight of bars, hair obscuring his face, Aelic trembled in the darkness.
