year about 2001 or so.young adult . its about a cop and a killer it switches between both so we can see both sides of the story. i know one part two girls are at a club and one has to go to the bathroom. she is trying to find it alone and goes in to a storage closet and the killer kills her and i believe he takes her heart. mystery. i know the cover was silver with a human heart on it . dead tree format. i hope this is enough information. if not let me know ill try harder to think.

No wasn't a teen. Was a man maybe in his 20s. I can't remeber location sadly it's been so long since I've read it. I doubt I'll ever find it.
