Pip | 814 comments Here’s a starting list of some of the events and programmes which will be going on throughout 2016; they are, logically, mostly in Britain so please add anything else you see advertised either there or around the world to celebrate Charlotte’s life.

Charlotte Great and Small at Haworth Parsonage
Special exhibition curated by Tracy Chevalier:
https://www.bronte.org.uk/whats-on/22... - includes a knitted scene from Jane Eyre, believe it or not. More info here: http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-le...

Charlotte Brontë at The Soane
This is one of my favourite museums in London. In addition to the permanent eclectic display, they are putting on a special Charlotte Brontë exhibition. Details here:

Celebrating Charlotte Brontë exhibition at the National Portrait Museum, London:

BBC – Being the Brontës
Special programme about the lives of the three sisters. To be broadcast Saturday 26th March at 21:00 British time. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03kcd3l I don’t know how available this will be outside the UK, but the website above has a few clips to give you a taster.

Thanks for this. Very interesting.
I need to remember about the two museums, especially The Soane, next time I go to London.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned already but Tracy Chevalier edited a book of short stories, Reader, I Married Him: Stories Inspired by Jane Eyre, inspired by Jane Eyre. Sounds rather good.
