Buddy Read Requests

Is there a book you want to read, but you want a buddy/buddies to read it with? Maybe this book wasn't selected as one of our BOTMs. You can just post that book(s) here to see if someone wants to read it with you. I love buddy reads and sometimes they help you finally read that book you've been dying to read.

You can do as many buddy reads that you want to.

Note: Please don't sign up for more buddy reads than you can handle. Also let your partner(s) know if something comes up and you can't keep to the schedule. This is designed to be fun and we understand that things happen.

Steps

There are three ways in which you can find a buddy.

Alternative One

1. Decide what book(s) you want to read

2. Once you have decided, post the book(s) you want to read and a general time frame of when you want to start the book

3. Find a buddy

4. Once you've found a buddy go to the Buddy Read Sign Ups thread and post your buddy's or buddies' name(s) and the book you guys have chosen to read along with when you guys plan to start the book

5. A thread will be created for you guys to discuss the book together under the Buddy Reads folder

Alternative Two

1. Check the They Still Need a Buddy section below to find a buddy to read a book with

2. Once you find a book that you want to read with that member, respond to their post letting them know you would like to read the book with them.

3. Decide on a start date.

4. Once you've found a buddy go to the Buddy Read Sign Ups thread and post your buddy's or buddies' name(s) and the book you guys have chosen to read along with when you guys plan to start the book

5. A thread will be created for you guys to discuss the book together under the Buddy Reads folder

Alternative Three

1. Check the Current Buddy Reads section below to find a book you would like to read. These will already have threads set up with the book and start date already decided on.

2. Once you have found one, head over to the thread to let them know you would like to join their buddy read.

Current Buddy Reads

Here will be a list of all the buddy reads that are currently going on, with dates displayed next to the Book Title. This will make it easy to join into a buddy read if you decide you also want to read a book that already has a thread set up for it.

Here will be a list of members that are still looking for buddy. Posted by their name will be a link to the post with the books that person wants a buddy to read with them.
