Currently, I'm reading:
'The Resurrection Casket' by Justin Richards [SF]

And I'm reading to my little sister, "The American Victory" by JoAnn A. Grote

message 8: by Lydia (new)

Lydia (noodlelydia) I'm actually not in the middle of any books right now. *cringe* But there are two at the library that I'm going to pick up this week, so....

The Wright Brothers was interesting and made me proud to be from Ohio.

K.S. Brixey | 13 comments I am back down to one. Just finished two. I have two more on the way from Amazon so I will be back up to three. Bought used, non-prime books so the delay will give me time to make some progress on my current book: 50 Self-Help Classics 50 Inspirational Books to Transform Your Life from Timeless Sages to Contemporary Gurus by Tom Butler-Bowdon

I have two in my purse right now!

message 13: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 21 comments I never have just one. I have two books going on my phone (audio and library) and about five hard copies in my purse/car/room/bathroom.

message 14: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (jessical1961) I am down to one now. I finished Lonesome Dove early this morning so for the moment it is The Wright Brothers by David McCullough.

Rick, I am from Cleveland, OH but now live in Old Hickory, TN. Don't remember much about OH since I was six years old when we moved to Knoxville, TN back in 1968. Still root for the Buckeyes football, though.

message 15: by Emma (new)

Emma | 2 comments I'm currently reading:
The Light and the Glory by: Peter Marshall and David Manuel
Mansfield Park by: Jane Austen
and I'm reading "Little Women" by Louisa May Alcott to my little sister.

message 16: by Randy (new)

Randy Tramp | 3 comments I've read 22 books so far this year. I'm in the middle of Amber Alert by Linda Kodante and Crushed: A Physician Analyzes the Agony of Jesus J. Shan Young

message 17: by Joanne (new)

Joanne Roberts | 22 comments Five. Six if you count my audiobook. I'm always in the middle of a non-fiction, a collection, an e-book, and a "heavy" book, so I rarely go down to fewer than four.

message 18: by Lydia (new)

Lydia (noodlelydia) I was reading two, but one was shorter so I devoured it over the weekend and then got back to my other one. It's a little hard for me to juggle reading two books and keeping up with two stories.

message 19: by Jamie (new)

Jamie Rose (jrosewordsmith) | 2 comments Three that I'm actively reading:

The Shepherd's Crown by Terry Prattchet
The Vagrant by Peter Newman
A History of Italy (can't remember the author off-hand)

I'm also technically reading The Way of Shadows by Brent Weeks, since I started it and haven't finished it yet. But that was some time ago, and I'll probably start again when I get round to it.

And I am sort of reading Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch, in the sense that I just finished it and I keep going back to re-read bits I especially liked or was especially confused by.

Would you please review Crushed when you finish it? I'd love to know if it's worth reading. Thanks.

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm reading three right now. A biography on Charles Finney, a biography on the three Mrs. Judsons, and an old book called Thankful Rest. Normally I only have one or two going but for some reason it's three right now.

I agree, Caroline, The Shepherd's Crown wasn't as good as the other Tiffany Aching books - but weren't the first two of those awesome!!?! :D
