Lina | 1 comments Hi Colleen! I just want to say that your books changed my life forever because Ren and Kelsey are just too perfect of a couple.
The questions I have don't relate to the books but I was wondering how an author/writer's life is like? I would really appreciate it!

Kayla | 5 comments Hi Colleen! I absolutely love your books, along with Ren and Kelsey! I was wondering if you are going to do a book singing anywhere in the NY area for 2015.

message 203: by Jojobean (new)

Jojobean Hi Colleen! I love your Tiger's series so much! I even got my sister into the series and she loves it too.
I heard that theres talk of a movie for the book. I have a question about that. Are you worried or scared that the movie will be bad or that it will be so different from the book. I love the books so much and I'm weary about a movie because I've seen some horrible movies based on books. While I know a movie would be great for you, I'd also like to know your feelings on if books should be made into movies at all.

Thanks and I can't wait for your Egyptian series!

Nikita Hello Colleen,
I don't know if you have already answered this question or not but are you comfortable with the director who will be directing the Tiger's Curse movie? Do you think he will be true to the book?

There is some time travel in the tiger series. I love music but not sure I know enough about it to use it as a theme in my writing. If you're a big music fan you should check out Bree Despain's new series.

An author's life isn't as glamorous as you might think. It mostly includes sitting at your computer in sweats with hair in a ponytail, no makeup, and stressing out about your deadline.

I love movies. Sometimes even more than books. I have no worries at all about a movie. In my head I know what the story is and that goes beyond the actors to me. I can watch any actor be Scrooge and I think each one lends something special to the character. Ren and Kishan exist in this special place in my brain that can't be touched so to me any actor attempting to play them would just be an actor and I could look at it in a sort of clinical way. Hope that makes sense.

Babynames.com. A lot of writers use websites such as that for naming characters.

It totally depends on what you can handle. I can have ideas for other things but its hard for me to focus on more than one project at time.

message 222: by Nightshade6 (new)

Nightshade6 | 4 comments Hi I am Nightshade6 and I love the tigers curse books that you have written! After I read the books I find myself still thinking about it for days. I just finished reading tigers destiny and I had one question. After Kelsey talks to the phoenix and it tells her to let go of her fear and love Ren. She goes and hugs her true love saying she's ready. Implying that she's ready to let go of her fear and love him, but she doesn't tell Kishan that she wants to be with Ren, instead she stays with Kishan. Why didn't she tell Kishan? Was she waiting till the quest was finished? Was she trying to build up her courage to tell him? Why did she stay with Kishan when she said she was ready to love Ren?

Nightshade6 wrote: "Why didn't she tell Kishan? Was she waiting till the quest was finished? Was she trying to build up her courage to tell him? Why did she stay with Kishan when she said she was ready to love Ren? "

Hi there. That's a good question. The Phoenix helped Kelsey realize why she was not with the man she loved. He helped her break down all the layers of reasoning and the excuses she had made and, after all was said and done, she admitted that she didn't feel like she had the right to be happy. Kelsey had to learn to embrace living and to accept that death is a part of life. Acknowledging this was the first step in Kelsey changing her world view, but it was one of many she needed to make before she allowed herself to love Ren wholly. This does not mean that she didn't love Kishan too. Kelsey needed time to figure out what she was going to do. The fact that she loved Ren was never a question. She never stopped loving him. The real dilemma was loving herself enough to make the choices that would make her happy.

I'm a very linear writer. I know where my story is going but I build heavily on what I've written before. It's all interconnected so I can't go out of order too much.

Of all my characters, Kelsey is the most like me. I loaned her my love of tennis shoes and chocolate. She's braver than me though. Tougher in a lot of ways.

With your new Egyptian series Reawakened, (which btw, I've been scared of mummies since I was a kid so like this whole mummies-turning-into-hot-dudes thing nearly grosses me out BUT I love your writing and I know you'll probably convert me into a mummy lover lol)

ANYWAY idk if someone's asked u this but I was wondering, will the romance in the series be more hotter? The Tiger series had great chemistry but sometimes I felt a bit...disappointed that the make out scenes were cut short just when they were getting hot! AHHH. Of course I'm not asking for like romance-novel stuff since this is YA o_o but just a liiiittle bit more heavier on the romance would be awesome!! :D so will it be like that??

that's all! LUUUUV ur work!! always cheering for u Colleen ;D

Mykala wrote: "My question is about the book of the month. How does it work exactly?"

It's pretty easy. I choose one book/author to feature per month and do a live chat with them at the end of the month so I have plenty of time to finish the book or series. You all can participate by either reading the book and asking questions about it on the chat or you can just check it out and leave a comment. That's all you have to do to be entered to win books from both of us!

Ah I wasn't planning on India. I knew I wanted handsome princes so I thought Russia. Then I researched the white tiger and discovered they come from India, not Siberia. Started exploring tiger myths in India and the story grew from there. =)
