Welcome back to our read-along of THE RETURN OF THE WITCH -- read along or read at your own pace, and participate in the discussion here! We will be dividing up the book into six parts. You can discuss Part 4 here. Part 5 will be posted on Wednesday, 3/23.

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS FOR PART 4:
1. Were you surprised that Bess was accused of witchcraft? And were you surprised that the soldiers turned on her so quickly?
2. Did you know that Gideon wanted Tegan for her own merits? How do you feel now that you've seen that her magic is so strong?
3. Do you think Elizabeth will see William again?
4. Now that you're more familiar with the twins, what do you think of them? Do you think they are fitting companions for Gideon?
5. Are you enjoying Tegan's backstory about all of her travels?

1. Not surprised by either one. She was not careful enough to mask the fact that she knew more than the times allowed.

2. I first believed that Gideon took Tegan to hurt Elizabeth. Now that we know that Tegan has strong magic, I think he's up to something else.

3. Not in this story (but maybe if another story is written...hint, hint).

4. The twins and their "hair" make me think of Medusa. They are perfect handmaidens for Gideon.

5. I'm really impressed with the back story - Tegan really has come into herself.
