Help Needed Remembering A Series

I have 2 year old twins and since I had them I have Mommy brain. I read ALOT during my pregnancy. I really enjoyed a lot of series and I would like to continue some of them. I have a huge list of books that I read, but before I start the search for what I am looking for I would ask you all. Here is the little that I remember. The series always focused on a couple and then there was side stories that were always going on. The one that I am looking for had a young girl that grew up with the series. She would have dreams and met two childhood friends. One boy/guy had a name that started with a Z. Maybe it was Zane?? It was always a mystery as to "what" paranormal he was. He was the "good" guy who said that he was destined to be with the girl/woman. There was another boy who would go into her dreams. We learned that he was a boy for the enemy. Eventually the girl learned to block the guy from her dreams but let him in when she wanted. I know that this is a poor description and probably hard to follow but like I said... I have Mommy brain. I don't even remember the other people's name. I know that there was probably going to be a battle with the guys over the girl... But I haven't read the series in two years... But that is where I left off. Can anyone help me?

Is it a YA, Teen, or Adult series?

It is an adult series. I have been thinking about it all night trying to remember if it was Alexandra Ivy series Guardians of Eternity but that is just a guess. Ugh... I wish I remembered
