My goal for this year is 60 books, my goal last year was 25 and I actually read 46 so I think that's a reasonable step up for me this year! I've read 18 books so far, I think that's a good start!

1. The Magpies 3 starsI didn't mind this but it seemed very predictable, I kept guessing what the ending would be and then wasn't surprised when that's what it was, but still, a pretty enjoyable little thriller!
2. All the Light We Cannot See 4 starsI loved this book, such an interesting story and characters and I love WWII fiction, I just wished the ending was happier.
3. Room 4 starsThis book was pretty amazing, I love how it was told from the child's point of view, I don't know if that made what was happening more or less scary! The movie was great too, but I loved how detailed the book was.
4. Everything, Everything 4 starsThis reminded me in ways of The Fault in Our Stars, different but along the same lines I think. A beautiful little love story but also quite tragic.
5. The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared 4 starsThis book had me laughing out loud, it was such a funny entertaining read!
6. A Little Life 5 starsI found this book painfully beautiful and engaging, loved the depth of the characters and story, one of the best books I've read in a while.
7. Snow Falling on Cedars 4 starsA book I saw the movie of a long time ago and have always wanted to read the book, it was a slower read but beautifully detailed and a great mystery.
8. The Revenant: A Novel of Revenge 4 starsI wanted to read this before I saw the movie. I loved how detailed the book was and how strongly the sense of revenge came through, which I don't think it did as well in the movie.
9. The Godfather 4 starsA modern classic I'd been wanting to read for a while but kept putting it off because I didn't think it would be that good for some reason! But I loved it!
10. The Cider House Rules 4 starsA book I read a while ago and wanted to re-read. A slow-paced novel but loved the story and characters.
11. The Swiss Spy 3 starsI got quite wrapped up in this WWII fiction, the ending was just devastating though.
12. The Memory House 4 starsBig romance fiction isn't usually my thing but I absolutely loved this! A beautiful and interesting story!
13. Inside the O'Briens 4 starsI mainly wanted to read this as I read Still Alice last year and wanted to read another book by Lisa Genoa, I wasn't disappointed! A very emotional book, just brilliant!
14. Me Before You 5 starsJust loved this, not your everday love story but just beautiful, I definitely want to read more by this author.
16. The Light of the Fireflies 3 starsI still don't know what to think of this book, I didn't hate it but I didn't love it, it was kind of creepy in a yucky way. Hmmmm....
17. A Kept Woman 2 starsThis book took me ages to plod through, I just couldn't get into it, it was just too predictable and just seemed to go on forever without much ever happening.
18. Extinct 4 starsLoved this, it was so good I just couldn't put it down and kept reading all night! It was a really creepy but in a good way, the kind of way where you keep looking out the slit in the curtains expecting to see something looking back at you! Loved it!
Hi Cassandra, yes I would recommend reading this one, it was a great historical fiction, based on the life of Hugh Glass. A great story of survival and revenge!
20. Black Friday 4 starsA short story providing more information on how Robby and Judy met, great to fill in a few gaps.
21. Wings of Fear 3 starsA bit of an adventure mystery romance, not bad, set in and around Cairns (where I live) so I think it was quite interesting to me from that point of view, to read the place names and island names and think, "I know where that is"!!! :)
22. In the Land of the Long White Cloud 4 starsSet in New Zealand this was an interesting read about a family saga, a really good read!
23. Try Not to Breathe 4 starsA gripping who-dunnit that I just couldn't put down, I finished this off in a night!
26. Fat Chance 3 starsAnother light read with a few laughs, didn't enjoy quite as much as Bricking It.
27. Sleep Tight 4 starsI just couldn't put this thriller down, I couldn't wait for the end, but in a good way! Great read!

Thanks Nick! I'm enjoying this challenge, I'm also doing the PopSugar challenge which I'm really enjoying as it's got me reading some books that I usually wouldn't read. I see you're going for the big 100, nearly half way there too, well done yourself!
28. Bitter Greens 3 starsAn interpretation of Rapunzel, I enjoyed this book, it wasn't amazing but still an interesting read!
29. Cold Mountain 3 starsI liked this book, a great story but I kept thinking of the movie and how good it was too! The scenery in the movie was so beautiful, I think I'll have to watch the movie again now!
30. The Runaway Family 4 starsGreat read about a mother just trying to survive and protect her young family, quite a gripping read, really liked this one!
31. Nicholas and Alexandra 4 starsThis book took me a while to read but was well worth it, the history and events surrounding this family was very interesting, a good read that has left me wanting to know more about them!
32. North of Normal: A Memoir of My Wilderness Childhood, My Unusual Family, and How I Survived Both 4 starsThis was a very interesting read, I felt so sorry for the little girl she was and everything she was exposed to, as a child it wasn't her choice. Sad but interesting read.
