Also, you will get more people looking at your thread if you put a brief description of the book in your thread title. To do this, next to the title is a little button marked Edit . Hey, I read a good book about 2 or 3 years ago. It was a romantic book about a married couple/she finds out she is dying and she wants to see a sight before she dies that her husband enjoyed years ago.
They get a doctor friend to get them the shots/drugs she needed to help with the pain which was very illegal for the doctor to do.
The husband gets two canoes and loads them up with supplies including the drugs and places her in a canoe with blankets all around her.
I think it was the Mississippi they were going down.
And it took days to do the journey.
Meanwhile her rich parents are trying to track them down saying the son inlaw is trying to kill their daughter and stole her away.
They run into bad guys who steal one of the canoes and it has most of the supplies in it so they end up in one canoe with their few supplies as they continue their journey and she continues to go down hill but won't let her husband take her to help because she wants this journey with him.
They do survive to the spot eventually and she dies getting to see what he had described to her.
