Beta Reading

Does anyone in this group like to beta read/editing. I have some chapters that I would love for someone to have a look and help me out with them. But I am finding it hard finding someone that can help me xx

I charge for editing and would love to discuss that with you if you wish. BUT! :) For my first/beta readers, I normally set up an event on Facebook and then invite my friends to the event. I usually get around five takers.

Maybe that could work here as well? I know you can set up events in this group and you're more than welcome to if you want.

We want this group to help, encourage and promote whatever an author needs.

Well, you can set up a specific event and then invite people to join the event and let them know what it is for--to find first readers for your latest story.

You can set up the event within this group, if you wish. Or you can set an event via your own person Goodreads page. You can do that on Facebook as well--set up events, that is.

From your friends base, you then invite them to participate. -S

Thank you for that, I will have a look at doing an event for my first book, to get the word out there more :)
and then see how that work and maybe will be able to find a beta reader for my new story x
