HELP!! finding a book

HELP!! i can't find this book that i read a few years ago! *WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS*
okay so this girl gets into a fight with her best friend at her friend's birthday party. she wore her friend's swimsuit & the friend got mad or something. the friend pushes her into the hot tub & her hair gets caught in the drain, causing her to almost drown.
five days later, her mom is packing up her things, saying things like "don't worry, you can go, we'll be okay."
the girl thinks her mom is just talking about her leaving for a boarding school.
anyways, so she gets to the boarding school & everything is going great. she's making new friends. i think she starts to date this boy named mike.
but then one of her friends disappears.
things are starting to be weird.
the girl finds out that she did drown in the hot tub. she's been dead the whole time. everyone at the boarding school is dead, but none of them know it. once you figure out that you're dead, you can choose to move on OR you can choose to forget & stay at the boarding school. i think she chooses to move on.

Hi! This book sounds pretty cool so I've been trying to find it, but I can't?? Do you know anything else about it, like character/location names, where it was based (Britain, America, etc.), if there was anything else about the character (race, rainbow colored hair, signature style, etc.), or what the cover looked like? I want to read it now haha ^_^
I also wanna read it. Maybe you give some other things you know like cover, etc.
i've tried finding it everywhere, & i can't!! but i'm pretty sure it was set in america. i think her boyfriend's name was mike & her best friend's name was lily. i think one of the people she knew at the boarding school had the name bethany. umm…
that's all i can think of for right now! but i'll let you know if i think of anything else!
