I heard her on this Pop Classical thing then found her on youtube.
Then I proceeded to go "mom, watch this!" and now she's hooked on Lindsey's stuff too, lol :)
I really like her music. Her original stuff is great and so are her covers & compilations of other pieces.

I listened to her for the first time this week by a strange coincidence. I listen to a lot of music through Amazon Prime and one of her recent albums popped up in the 'just added' section. Really enjoyed it :-)

The Piano Guys are really popular here. I think they're local. I really like their Christmas stuff. And the Star Wars one.

Going to see The Offspring and Sublime w/Rome in about a month. Quite looking forward to it as I have been listening to both bands for about twenty years but have never seen them live.

The Offspring live is a lot of fun. They have great energy.

Hybrid I'm hoping that they play lots of their older stuff. In my opinion Smash is still their best album. Looking forward to it.

Saw them live a couple times back when they were big, including a memorable performance at the Fillmore in Frisco with Face to Face and Guttermouth opening. Great show. Stage dived for the first time. Also saw them in San Jose with L7. I miss rock music...was so sad when it passed away...

Would have loved to see that line up, have listens to Face to Face and Guttermouth a long time as well.

Went and saw Lagwagon and the Swinging Utters last year and it was awesome.

Hey, I've heard of them! Most of these modern groups I've never heard of. I just go to symphony concerts and musicals now. The only "rock" groups I've seen live are the Monkees (my mom's obsession) and Phil Collins.

I also live near an outdoor amphitheater, so I've heard Rush and Nine Inch Nails off in the distance.

Audrey, I don't want to date you here or anything lol but pretty much all of those bands are 20-25+ years old.

I shouldn't say anything. This is a daily argument between me and my daughter about what constitutes "real music"

LOL -- it's okay; that shows when I was in high school. I'm totally unfamiliar with anything newer. I've never had a good memory when it came to names of bands. I listen to instrumental so much more -- soundtracks, classical music, new age artists, and that kind of stuff.

I do find that this generation has much less interest in older music. I was born in 1987 and some of my favourite music is from the 70s and 80s. My older daughter wants nothing to do with any older music. My 4 year old however loves old music. She always asks me to put on KISS, Queen, Neil Young and John Denver

Do you think the internet has a lot to do with that? Now that kids have instant access to any music they want they aren't forced to listen to their parents old records and stuff for music.

Probably, it's all definitely a lot more accessible.

But also means it's easy to listen to music from any period, thank goodness :D

Isn't it funny how embarrassing stuff like that is when you are a kid? Now I could care less if what I am doing/listening to/reading is "cool" or not...and I am pretty sure it is "not cool"!

I'm so glad I listened to my parents stuff, though! Paul McCartney and Wings, and America (and Beatles of course) were favorites when I was little, and I still love it all. In fact, 21 years ago when my husband and I were married, "Maybe I'm Amazed" by Paul McCartney and Wings was our wedding song!

Our wedding song was Never Tear us Apart by Me First and the Gimme Gimmes.

It's a punk version of the INXS song.

Black Betty by Ram Jam.

When I was young, and you still had to download music from Things like Kazaa and limewire my dad would get loaded and play this at 2 am all the time. The only thing was everytime he did, rather than just play the one he already had he would download a new one. So we had like 11 Black Betty by Ram Jam's.
