LOVE Supertramp!
Charlemagne by Blossoms - because it's been on the radio recently, and also Queen Of Peace by Florence + the Machine.

Gonna throw a question out to all of you D and J enthusiasts.
What is your favorite OST of all times? (whether from a movie or game or really any medium that would have one)
This is a very easy answer for me. The OST of Final Fantasy VI (or III depending on how/where you played it) is my favorite. Possibly my favorite music of all time period. I will freely admit that nostalgia plays alot into this, but I cannot listen to it without getting emotional, and I am not a very emotional fellow. It is powerful enough listening to it on a super nintendo sound chip, but now that there are things like Video Games Live and Games in Concert doing full blown orchestral versions it is exquisite.
Hopefully I am not the only one to have experienced/enjoyed this game and OST.
So what are some of your favorites?
also, some runner ups:
- star wars (of course)
- Indiana Jones
- Jurassic Park
- Super Castlevania IV
they don't top FFVI because while I like most songs from them with FFVI I love every single second.

I find myself buying the soundtrack to movies quite often. I enjoy listening to them.
Favorite would definitely have to be Lord of the Rings though.

I'm on a serious Lindsey Stirling kick right now. Check her out, she rocks!

Lots of John Williams and James Horner -- Jurassic Park, Field of Dreams, Apollo 13, Schindler's List, Hook, Prisoner of Azkaban, etc. Jerry Goldsmith is highly diverse and talented.
Definitely Lord of the Rings and Doctor Who. Inception is interesting.
My orchestra kids are learning the Star Wars theme and "In Dreams" for their end-of-year concert. I have a clarinet student obsessed with Jurassic Park, so I wrote us a duet for the concert.
Lesser-known favorites are Cowboys and Aliens, Ender's Game, The Truman Show, The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill But Came Down a Mountain.
I recently discovered the Outlander TV series soundtrack, and that's good. Never seen the show.
Sometimes a bad movie has good music, like Star Trek 5. It's hard to narrow down a favorite.

It's true that Truman Show is a really good soundtrack.
I like a lot Doctor Who (I went to a music concert of that show and it was great).
Inception and Interstellar also.
Life is beautiful for something more calm.

Agreed. I started listening to her a few months ago, and I'm really enjoying her work.

I think they've sort of done that with the various Doctor Who at the Proms specials, haven't they?

Yes, I've seen those on the DVDs or PBS or somewhere. But being there live takes it to a whole new level. Like when last year I heard The Planets Suite played live, it gave me chills even though I'd heard it dozens of time on CD.

It was. It's a local orchestra and they are playing music from movies and video games only.
The crowd was great and there was also a real size Tardis and Dalek. My son was so happy.
Here's an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oplwK...
Fun. The local professional orchestra has started showing movies where they play the whole soundtrack live. I haven't been to one of those, but they seem popular.
Gorillaz are fantastic. That first (I think first) album like fifteen years ago still gets tons of play in my circle of friends.
At the moment im listening to a lot of Apocalyptica (a string quartet that plays rock/metal). I love their metallica covers and the duets they do. I even had them playing in the hospital when I gave birth. Not sure what the midwife thought......

They've probably seen everything. My husband's been listening to string rock groups lately.

I've started watching Enterprise from the beginning (rather than odds and ends of episodes part way through), so I have the theme tune to that stuck in my head randomly when I am at work!

Got it playing myself

I have loved them for 33 years, since I was gifted their Live Under a Blood Red Sky record album for my 12th birthday. Never did I ever think I'd hear Sunday Bloody Sunday, and New Years Day LIVE. Just amazing and the songs are still so relevant today.
They still sound so great, I don't know how they've managed to do it!!

I love to listen the 80's/New Wave station on Pandora.

I thought Nero's last release sounds a lot like what Lords of Acid did 25 years earlier with "I Sit on Acid" (warning: mature lyrics).
Everything old is new again.

It is Johnny Rotten's band after leaving the Sex Pistols. A Little more like post-punk but love the guitar in it.

I'm really enjoying The Piano Guys.

I find that happens when I watch that too! Drives me crazy.
