Just finished Chapter 33 and the fight against Rallen and his men has been awesome. I am so glad Jak finally showed some of his skills. Also I wonder what will happen now that Adare and Kaden finally shared the truth.
I really liked when Jak took to the air - the description was exciting, and I'd love to see more of that type of stuff. I keep wishing the entire book was the Gwenna et al story - I really don't care about the others nearly as much.

I'm with you Susan, I've wanted more Gwenna the whole book. And once she was talking about her "going where they were needed" I wanted her to magically show up in all three of the other storylines at the same time.
For now I have to wait and see where she does show up. Valen seems the place they are needed most, but she really has no way of knowing about him, the Flea or the last stand against the Urgal.
Yeah I pretty much needed her in all three storylines :) And yes Flea and that last stand - that was one of my two favorite non-Gwenna parts. The other was just the image of the cages in the air - I thought that was very well described.
Well...my son finally settled into some sort of predictable sleep patterns, and I am getting maybe 6 hours of on and off sleep a day, so I think reading will pick up...especially with my awesome one-handed Kindle Oasis (TM) :DAnywhoo...Interesting twist if Il Tornja and Meshkent are really Csetriim playing everyone or actually gods.
The Gwenna sections (eg sections with action) or woefully short :(
Hopefully Flea/Valyn/Gwenna and team will all meet up soon.
I kind of think the place Gwenna and team are needed most are at the impending invasion of Annur
