I received the audible of the book as a gift in exchange of an honest review. When I began listening, I thought of completing it in a few sittings, but I just loved the book. It is interesting and kept me hooked till the end of the last chapter, and I listened to the whole book in just one shot. The book is written in simple and subtle English, and the author has beautifully articulated the story with rich vocabulary usage. The scenes and the events are described vividly especially the festive season of Christmas. I must say that the book has all the elements, the cliffhangers, twists and turns, and the essence of romance, a good fiction book should have.

This was the first book written by this author I had the pleasure of reading. I found the book so interesting, I read the entire book in one day. I'm now looking at some of the other works by this author. Thanks for sharing this story.

I choose a book based on the author's blurb and I like reviews that do not contain spoilers. So I will try to convey my opinion of the story accordingly.
The first thing that captured my interest in "A Secret Love" was that Brigitta puts the reader in the middle of the action. There is no slow, boring build up. You know straight away that something is terribly wrong. Someone is blackmailing Christine, the protagonist. However, as the story unfolds, you are really not sure how things will work out, as actions happening may lead the reader to expect a different outcome. I found myself continuously trying to predict and guess what was up next. But the story was so well written that the end was unpredictable to say the least.

It is one of those stories you simply cannot put down. Each chapter leaves you wanting more. You want - you need to know what happens next. Most importantly in the end all loose ends are beautifully tied up, leaving a peaceful sense of completion.
I must also mention that although it was simply written there is no lack of interesting vocabulary.

A Secret Love is a kind of twisted love story that takes a couple unexpected turns and leaves the reader a bit unsettled. The story is told in an interesting way, with each chapter taking on a specific character's point of view. Underlying the story is a secret that threatens to destroy a happy family.

Overall, I enjoyed this book. A Secret Love is a short, but engaging read that kept my interest. This is not the typical genre I normally read, but the author has written an interesting story that kept me wanting to continue on. I don't want to give away too much, but I will admit the ending left me a little unsettled, it was definitely thought provoking.

A Secret Love is an excellent read. You will not want to close this book until the end! The author captures your attention in a movie like way that heightens your excitement as each chapter ends leaving you anxious for the next chapter. I highly recommend this book and cannot wait for another book from this author. Very nice book
