This notable author, Iain Pear has released a time travel digital only novel that is rather...novel! Well, it claims to be unique but its mainly a multiple choice book novel where you choose your own character perspective of a story. If I understand correctly, the story is fixed but you are just selecting which character you want to follow. I suppose the idea is that you cover all or some of the characters journeys which might give significant new angles that may change how you perceived events on previous iterations...maybe, I'm guessing. But seems that potential is there which might well make this a unique experience and with time travel, that could make it even more so.

It can only be read on the Iphone or Ipad unfortunately.


Edit: This is actually released as a traditional novel too and reviews such as in the Guardian here, recommends that you read the traditional book instead of getting the app, making a great point in saying:

"Telling things in the right order, after all, is a crucial part of any Storyteller’s job. Why delegate the task to an amateur?"
