Maja thought the empty common room was a bit odd, but she assumed everyone was already at dinner.

"It's usually empty around here Until after dinner.." Jasper explained, walking out into the corridor.
"Strange." Maja commented. "The Gryffindor common room is always busy."
"Slytherin is somewhat smaller than other houses. That and most cause trouble before dinner..." Jasper shrugged.
"Yeah. I know. We are a sucky house." Jasper mumbled.
"It's what the sorting hat chose for me." Jasper said like it was obvious.
"Well yeah, but why? You don't fit any of the Slytherin traits, from what I've seen."
"My entire family has been Slytherin. I don't really know why I ended up there..." Jasper answered, shrugging.
Maja scoffed. "That's no reason for you to end up in Slytherin!"
"I know. But oh well. It is what it is.." Jasper said with a loud sigh.
"I can't change it so I just have to put up with it." Jasper mumbled.
"Don't be sorry. It's not your fault." Jasper replied.
"I know. But you don't need to be." He replied.
"Okay." Maja was silent the rest of the way to the Great Hall.
Jasper walked with her, not Saying anything more.
At the doors to the Great Hall, Maja waved at him. "I'll see you later." She said.
"I'll see you later." Jasper replied, waving back at her.
Maja went to sit with her other friends.
Jasper debated for a moment before simply shaking his head and going back to his room.
Maja saw him leave and frowned, wondering why he wasn't staying.
Jasper sighed. He went back to his room, taking out his homework.
Maja shrugged it off, thinking he had something to do.
Jasper started to work on homework but he couldn't focus. He ended up taking a nap for a few hours instead. ((Skip to the next day?))
((Okay. I'll start.))Early in the morning, Jasper was already in the Great hall, sitting in the same spot as yesterday. He was working on homework though, not reading.
Maja came in, still half asleep. Seeing Jasper, she went to sit across from him again, dumping her books on the table before rifling through them for her Arithmancy one and working in finishing her homework.
Jasper looked up and smiled when he saw her. He finished his homework. He then leaned over and stacked her books up neatly.
She didn't even notice what he was doing, she was so concentrated other work. It was a tough subject, even for her.
Jasper then got up, coming over to her side of the table. "Want some help?" He asked, noticing how concentrated she was.
"No, no, I've got it." She brushed him off. She could do this.
"Alright." Jasper sat down beside her. He'd let her work and help if she really needed it.
Maja appreciated his offer, but she needed to finish this, on her own, or else she would feel like she was cheating. Of course, if she truly felt she needed the help, she would ask. But she didn't. Not now, anyway.
Jasper folded his arms on the table and rested his head on top of them, looking around the quiet hall.
It was only a few minutes before Maja finished the work, slamming the book closed with triumph.
Jasper smiled softly. "Good job, you finished it."
"Thanks!" Maja said, grinning. "Sorry about that, I needed to concentrate."
"It's fine." Jasper answered with a shrug.
She smiled sheepishly. "So how are you this very early morning?"
"Pretty good. You?" Jasper asked. He smiled lightly and ran a hand through his hair.
"Tired." Maja shook her head. "I stayed up a little too late."
"Take a nap after your classes today then?" Jasper suggested.
She stared at him. "A nap? When I should be doing homework?"
"Oh. Right. You can't do it like I do... Take a nap after classes. Maybe go eat dinner. Sleep some more, get up at midnight or so and do homework. Breakfast then classes again." He listed with a smile.
She shook her head. "Yeah, I can't really do that."
