"Ah, I see." She nodded, still smiling. "So it's more of the fact that you stayed up too late?"

"More like. I haven't slept." Jasper corrected, smiling softly. He looked over at her.
Maja's eyes widened. "Really? That's....wow, no wonder you're tired!"
"Yeah. Oh well." Jasper said with a shrug. He'd sleep tonight. He smiled faintly, partially glad to be heading back to school.
Maja shrugged as well, in response. "I probably won't be getting much sleep this year. I tend to stay up late reading."
"Same here. That's why I started kinda being more nocturnal." He said, looking over at her. "Favorite book?" Jasper asked curiously.
She looked at him incredulously. "You expect me to have a favorite?"
"Okay. Fine. Favorite series and top five favorite books." Jasper corrected. "Better?" He asked, wondering if she could answer his corrected question.
Well, that was a little more doable. "Hmm.... Well, I like Lord of the Rings a lot. And the Eragaon series. Um.... I like things like Jane Eyre and Pride and Prejudice too."((i've read all of those except the last))
((Nice. I haven't read any of those..))"I've read Eragon and that series. But that's the only one I know from what you just listed..." Jasper responded.
Maja shrugged. "That's all right. What do you like to read?"
"Typically like realistic fantasy. If that's even a category And Dystopians." Jasper replied with a light smile.
"Cool." Jasper nodded. "What book or books are you reading now?" He asked curiously, tilting his head. He Smiled faintly at her.
"I haven't picked my next one yet." Maja shrugged. "Any recommendations?"
"I have lots of possible ones." Jasper responded, shrugging. "I brought lots of them with me so you can look through them if you want.." He offered.
"Alright." Jasper nodded. "Want to look through them now or later?" He asked, all his books in his trunk.
"Alright." Jasper said hesitantly, nodding. Once they got to school, he'd probably have a hard time talking to her. Considering their houses were complete enemies.
Maja grinned. "Awesome!" She didn't notice his hesitancy.
Jasper nodded. "You'll have to find me in the Great hall or something after we get there, and then I can let you look through them." He told her.
Jasper was nervous, wondering if she'd think differently of him when she found out that he was a Slytherin. ((Want to skip till just before they get to school?))
((Could you start or would you like me to?))
((Alright.))They had about 10 more minutes before they would finally arrive at Hogwarts. Jasper smiled lightly at the thought. He still hadn't changed into his uniform, not wanting to.
Maja hadn't changed either, simply because she wasn't sure how to bring it up. She sat, leaning against the wall, looking out the window.
Jasper had dozed on and off some throughout the train ride. He saw the time and sighed. "We really should get changed." He commented.
Maja looked at him, blinking, having been startled out of thought. "Yeah, you're right...." she said.
Jasper sighed and stood up. He reached up to his trunk, opening it and grabbing his uniform. He was careful to make sure any symbols of his house were hidden from sight.
"I'll be back." Jasper said softly. He left their compartment and changed in one of the bathrooms. He sighed softly, thinking about what She might think of him.
Maja nodded as he left, and quickly slipped on her robes, smoothing them down. She couldn't help but wonder what House he was in.
Jasper sighed softly. After a few minutes, he walked back to their compartment, running a hand through his hair.
Maja looked up when he came in. "Hey, you're back!"
"Yep." Jasper nodded. He seemed nervous. And more quiet than before. He looked up, making sure his owl was still alright.
Maja nodded. "Slytherin, huh?" She asked softly.
Jasper hesitated a moment before nodding. "Yeah." He bit his lip, glancing at her.
Jasper shook his head. "No. Not really." He admitted.
"Really? Why not?" Maja was probably prying, but she couldn't help be interested.
"I don't fit in there." Jasper responded. That was the simplest way to explain it.
"I just don't. I got placed in a house where I don't belong. Oh well. Only two years left and then that's it." Jasper said, sighing. He bit his lip lightly.
"Not too bad. You reacted better than I thought you would." Jasper responded softly. He ran a hand through his hair, a nervous habit of his.
"How do people usually react?" Maja knew should probably move off the subject, but she couldn't help it, she was curious.
Jasper shook his head. "I never mentioned how others reacted or what it has to do with you.." He mumbled. "I just figured you'd be upset, for talking to and sharing a compartment with your enemy." He added quietly.
