Other
(Okay, this one's gonna be simple too)Name: Maja Louise Baker (Maja is pronounced mie-ah)
Year: 5
House: Gryffindor
Sexuality: Biromanitc asexual
Appearance:

Blood Status: Pureblood
Personality: Maja greatly values intelligence and innovation, and it shows. She can appear to be uptight, though really she just wants to succeed, and won't let anything stand in the way of that. A good word to describe Maja would be determined. She can appear cold, but it really depends on when you manage to encounter her; at times she can be quite cheerful and pleasant to be around. During exam times, however, Maja can be a nightmare. She is very focused and can get snappish, as she is more than likely running on little to no sleep in order to get everything done. Maja's greatest fear is being ignored and forgotten, likely stemming from some form of anxiety. She often needs to be reminded that her friends care. Yes, she has friends, few, but loyal. She herself is an infallible companion, and stands by her friends.
Background: Maja was born fifteen years ago to Brita and Anthony Baker. Her mother is a Swedish witch, and wanted very much to pass some of her heritage to her daughter. Maja is an only child. Her father works in the Ministry, in a "rather boring" office job that he will tell Maja nothing about. Maja grew up always loving learning and books, and at the age of eight informed her mother very seriously that she was going to be famous one day for how smart she was. Since arriving at Hogwarts, Maja has been attempting to accomplish just that, taking as many classes in as many subjects as possible in order to become the great witch inventor she longs to be.
Likes: Books, succeeding, darkness
Dislikes: Troublemakers, light colors, idiots
((okay))Maja hurried through the train, lugging her trunk behind her. They'd been late this year, meaning she had barely gotten there in time. All the compartments were full, and she couldn't find her friends anywhere. She stopped by a mostly empty compartment and knocked on the open doorframe. "Hello. Can I sit here?"
Jasper shrugged. "Yeah. Whatever." He was wearing regular clothes so unless anyone knew him, they wouldn't know he was in Slytherin. He shifted from how he was stretched out across one side of the compartment, standing up. "Want some help with your trunk?" He offered, biting his lip.
"Oh, yes please." She gave it another tug, letting it scrape across the floor, making a truly awful sound. She winced. "Thank you."
Jasper nodded. He grabbed her trunk and easily lifted up to the shelves at the top of the compartment. He pushed it back to make sure it wouldn't fall. "You're welcome." He sat back down, closing the compartment door since he knew that some louder kids probably would be running around. Jasper sat down where he was before.
Maja settled on the other seat. "I don't think we've met." she said. "I'm Maja." She wasn't the most friendly person around, but she to at least be able to say she knew her classmates.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Jasper." He introduced himself. Jasper glanced up at the shelf above him, making sure his grey owl was alright. He looked back at the girl across from him.
"Sixth." Jasper answered. He liked that this girl wasn't asking about what house he was in. He hated that he'd been put in Slytherin but his pureblood family, almost all of them had been in Slytherin so he ended up there. He bit his lip lightly.
Maja noticed that something seemed wrong. She decided not to ask about it, though. Usually people didn't want to discuss things like that. Usually. "Oh. I'm in fifth."
"Really?" Jasper asked. She looked like she could easily pass for a sixth year, maybe even a seventh. "You could easily blend in wit the sixth years. And probably some sevenths." He commented
She shrugged. "Really. I'm only fifteen." She'd been told that once or twice before; that she looked older than her actual age. Of course, she took it as a compliment.
"Okay then." Jasper nodded. He smiled faintly. A smile much bigger than the one he gave her was rare, him never finding much reason to smile. He was an outcast among the Slytherins and most of the other houses because he was a Slytherin.
"So are you looking forward to this year?" Most people Maja talked to were, but she hung out with what the rest of the school called "nerds" or something along those lines. Maja couldn't help it if she liked learning.
Jasper nodded. "I'm guessing you're a Ravenclaw?" He said quietly. He hadn't really wanted to bring up houses but with how enthusiastic she was, it seemed like a good guess.
Maja shook her head. "Nope. Gryffindor." That always took people by surprise; they never expected her to belong to the "brave" house.
Jasper nodded. He could kinda see how she would fit in there, Just with how she acted. He looked out the window, watching outside for a moment as trees and the land passed by.
Evidently he was a quiet type. That was okay, usually Maja was too, but her books were all locked up in her trunk, and she was rather bored.
Jasper sighed softly. He glanced over at her again. He didn't exactly want to stop talking to her since she seemed kind of nice. And different. But he also didn't know how to keep a conversation going.
"The most boring pureblood place that probably exists." Jasper answered, not having a better way to describe it. "What about you?" He asked, tilting his head slightly to one side, much like a dog would.
"It's not bad. A bit crowded during the summer, with all the tourists, but not bad at all." Maja shrugged in return, smiling.
"I may have to head there sometime." Jasper said. He just wanted to finish school first. Then he could escape the constant cycle of not fitting in. He didn't fit in at school. Or at home. He felt like he didn't belong anywhere.
"I want to. That's my plan after school..." Jasper replied. "Spend at least a year, just traveling." He said with a shrug.
"That sounds like fun. What do you plan to do after that?" She hoped she wasn't prying too much, though she supposed that he would have said something if she was.
"Fair point." Jasper agreed with a shrug. "What're you looking forward to this year?" He asked her curiously.
"History can be kinda interesting though. Depends on how you learn it." Jasper said with a faint smile. He shifted how he was sitting, stretching his legs out.
"I guess I just haven't had the best teachers." Maja smiled, brushing her long hair over one shoulder.
"Maybe you'll get a better one this year." Jasper responded, shrugging. "You never know." He ran a hand through his hair.
Jasper shrugged. "You'll find out pretty soon." He said quietly. He yawned and ran a hand through his hair again.
