"Still, I've always been told I need to blend in.. So I keep it covered up and hidden." Ari replied softly. She bit her lip nervously as she watched Zia.

"Yeah." Ari shrugged. She thought that Zia would've reacted differently to her hair but was grateful that she didn't.
"So how'd you get out here? I mean, why are you out here?" Zia shook her head. "You know what I mean."
"My parents were allegiant to the Killjoys... They got killed because of it. I ran and got away before they could get me too..." Ari replied softly, looking down at her hands again.
Ari shrugged. "It is what it is. There's nothing I can do about it now, except help aid the Killjoys." She replied softly.
"Yeah. What about you? I know you were born out here but still..?" She asked carefully, biting her lip.
"Like. Why are you still out here travelling around? Is it just cause you grew up this way or do you have some sort of plan that you're following?" She clarified,
Ari fell silent. She didn't know what else to say. She bit her lip lightly. ((I did start on our other one..))
"You can get to sleep if ya want." she said, noticing how tired the younger seemed. "I'll keep watch."
"Alright." Ari nodded. She closed her eyes and within a few minutes, she was asleep. She didn't dream, luckily.
((Okay.)) Ari had slept for about three hours. She woke up suddenly, hearing a loud noise. She quickly looked around, Opening her backpack.
Ari nodded. She had a simple raygun. She took it out of her bag, holding it at her side. She closed her backpack and went over toward Zia.
Ari nodded. She turned so her and Zia were back to back. That way they could keep an eye out all around them. She bit her lip nervously.
Ari looked around carefully. She didn't have as much experience but would try to have Zia's back and hope Zia would have her back as well.
Zia wiped her head to the side at the sound of another noise. As she looked, a white-coated figure slipped out of the shadows. Zia nudged Ari. "That way," she hissed.
Ari looked over quickly and nodded. She raised her gun some, not enough to shoot yet but close. She bit her lip as she watched the figure.
As the figure made a sudden move, Zia moved her gun in that direction. She hated fighting, she was peaceful, but if she had to she would.
Ari aimed her gun at the figure as well. She looked around them, checking for more. She didn't like and didn't really know how to fight but she could shoot a gun at least.
"Not currently." Ari whispered, looking back toward the first figure that they had spotted. She risked a quick glance at Zia.
She nodded. "Right. Let's hope it doesn't get any closer......" Apparently she spoke too soon, because the figure moved closer, almost sprinting. "Get ready." Zia said.
Ari nodded. She shifted her stance, ready to shoot at the figure. She was silent, her gun aimed right at the figure and ready to shoot.
The figure shot first. It was aimed at Zia - though how it could see her properly she didn't know. She ducked, letting it sail harmlessly over her head.
