Ari heard a voice that wasn't hers and jumped slightly. She looked around until she spotted zia. She shrugged and walked over, keeping her hands visible so the other person wouldn't freak out.

Zia grinned, open and bright. "Hey." she said. "What's got you wandering around here? Ya lost?"
"Not lost exactly. Just not knowing where I'm heading either." Ari replied with a shrug.
"Understandable." Zia held out the water bottle. "Want some?"
Ari shook her head. "I've got some in my backpack." She said, shifting the strap of the backpack on her shoulder. She was wary of other people, never knowing who she could trust.
Zia nodded. "Good, good. Need t'keep ahold of that sort of thing out here." She tilted her head to the side, considering. "Hey, I'm heading out north pretty soon here. You wanna come with?" She knew it wasn't the smartest idea, to do a thing like that, but she couldn't help being the kind of person to help others. Whether they needed it or not.
"Where are you headed up north?" Ari asked quietly. She didn't exactly have somewhere that she wanted to go,' just away from here. She bit her lip nervously.
Zia shrugged. "Nowhere in particular. I'm meetin' up with some friends of mine there."
Ari nodded. "...would you let me come with?" She asked hesitantly, nervous around this girl. She bit her lip, looking around.
Zia nodded. "Yeah, no problem. I can fit ya on my moped here." She patted the handlebars. "We'll do just fine."
"Alright." Ari nodded. She adjusted her beanie, making sure none of her hair had fallen out of it.
Zia nodded her head to the bike. "Let's go then." she said. "Oh- what's your name? Or what d'ya wanna be called?"
"Ari." She answered simply. That was the only name she'd known so it wasn't like she had many other options. Ari made sure her bag was shut tightly.
Zia nodded. "They tend to call me Blue Roses around here." She said, swinging her legs around so she sat on the moped. "Hop on, Ari."
"Blue roses.. That's cool." Ari commented. She got on the moped behind Zia. She bit her lip, never actually having been on a moped or motorcycle before.
"Yeah, it's pretty sweet." Zia started up the moped. "Hold on." she said, and they were off.
Ari held on like she was told. She bit her lower lip, wondering if Blue Roses was someone she could actually trust. She seemed like it but looks can be deceiving.
Meanwhile, Zia had no such misgivings. She was too trusting, she'd been told so all her life and knew it was true, but she couldn't help it. She liked people, and people generally liked her. She liked to help people. It was what she did.
Ari pushed the worries to the back of her mind for now. She could face them later. Ari knew that she needed to start focusing on just the right now. Not the future. Or the past.
((im going to do a sort of timeskip, if that's okay?))They rode for several hours before Zia pulled off the road, near a small stand of trees. "This trip might take a while," she said, "shoul'da told ya that earlier."
"It's alright." Ari answered. When they stopped, she got off for a moment, stretching her legs. She yawned softly.
"Tired?" Zia asked as she climbed off the moped. "I was thinkin' we could stop here for the night. It's getting late."
"A little bit." Ari admitted. "Okay," she nodded as she looked around them. She didn't know where they were except that they were further north.
Seeing her questioning look around, Zia smiled. "We're in Zone Three," she said. "Not a lot of people here. Never knew why."
"Alright." Ari nodded. She continued to look around, curious about where they were at. She fixed her beanie again.
Zia noticed the action, but said nothing about it. She rummaged in the bags she had attached to the side of the moped. "D'ya have food?"
"Yeah. Some." Ari nodded. She moved her backpack off of her shoulder, holding it and opening it up.
Zia nodded, pulling out a couple cans of food. "Great. I've got some, but not a lot, so it's good you've got your own."
"Yeah." Ari nodded. She sat down with her back against a tree. She set her bag in front of her.
Zia joined her. She used a knife to pry open a can.((Sorry I'm rushed))
((It's okay. I've been at school))Ari took a granola bar from her bag and opened it since she wasn't very hungry. She closed up her bag again.
((I was in class at the time!))Zia noticed that Ari seemed pretty private about her bag. She wanted to ask why, but didn't really think that would go well.
((Alright. I'm only on my phone before/afterschool or at lunch. My school is very strict about phones in class...))Ari looked over at her. "How old are you?" She asked quietly out of curiosity. She bit her lip, watching Zia.
((I'm in college....a little less strict))"Nineteen. Why?" Zia cast a strange look at her.
((Fair point. I'm in high school so..))"Just curious." Ari replied, shrugging. She bit her lip lightly. "I'm only seventeen..." She commented.
((yeah.....))"Really? I though you were a bit older...." Zia trailed off, shrugging and taking a bite of her food.
((Why so many dots?))Ari shook her head. "Nope. Just 17.." She said quietly, finishing her granola bar. She bit her lip lightly.
((i dunno))Zia shrugged. "Nothin' wrong with that. How long you been living out here?"
((Okay then.))"Not very long. Like 6 months." Ari answered. "You?" She asked softly. Almost timidly, like she was afraid of asking the wrong questions.
"Wow." Ari mumbled, kinda surprised. It made sense though. Zia clearly seemed to know what she was doing and just know a lot more in general.
She nodded. "Yep. I was born out here." she made a face. "Now that can't have been fun for mom."
"Probably not." Ari said, shaking her head. She fixed her beanie, feeling like her hair was going to fall out of it. She sighed softly in annoyance.
"Why do you do that?" Zia blurted, pointing to her hat.
Ari frowned. She hesitated a moment before taking her beanie off. She let her bright neon blue hair fall around her shoulders. She looked down, nervously messing with the fabric of the beanie.
Zia's eyes widened. "Wow, that's so pretty."
Ari shrugged. She ran her hands through her hair, using hair ties to tie it up before putting her beanie back on. She bit her lip lightly.
"It's bright and neon. Kinda makes me stand out.." Ari answered with a shrug. She hesitantly looked over at Zia.
